Vanessa’s POV

After finishing cleaning the kitchen and having lunch with Stacey, I decided to talk to Stacey about taking me to the hospital to see Junior.

Stacey, can you take me to see Junior?

Alfred said that we were to stay here.”

Stacey, please, we can go and see Junior and be back before he comes back.”

I have only been able to see him a couple of times.”

Alright, I will take you, but if we get caught, I’m going to say it was your idea, and you ordered me to take you.”

“That’s fair enough.”

Which was fair enough. I am the Luna, and they are supposed to listen to me when Alfred isn’t around. She had her car, so nobody would know that it was me. I got dressed in a black sweatsuit and put a cap on my head. She did not change. But she did put a blanket over my head as we left the house. We got to the car without any issues. She drove normally to the hospital. When we arrived at the hospital, we went in the back door. The doctor noticed me.

* Luna, what are you doing here without Alfred?”

I want to see my baby.”

Right this way.”

He escorted us to the nursery. Junior was out of the NICU. He was in his own room in the nursery. We walked in, and the nurses greeted me. One of the nurses grabbed a chair and pulled it close to his crib. He still had wires attached to him. She helped me get him out of the crib, and I got to hold him. I kissed him and told him that I love him, and he smiled. Then I got to feed him. It was amazing to feed him for the first time. I then burped him, changed his diaper, and said goodbye for now. I will be back later. I put the hat back on and told the staff not to tell Alfred that I had been there today. They all agreed not to say anything. Stacey and I were on our way out the back door of the hospital when two men rushed us. They knocked Stacey out and dragged me to a waiting black car. They put a bag over my head and hit me.

1 blacked out. When I woke up, I was tied to a chair, and bright lights were surrounding me. My vision was fuzzy. There were three people in the room with me. Then I heard his voice. The voice I never wanted to hear again in my life. It’s Robert’s voice. I never wanted to listen to his voice again.

He then slapped me hard across the face, It was hard enough for my ears to ring. I knew that Alfred felt that. Mates can feel each other’s pain.

I knew antagonizing him was a bad idea, but I was trying to get him to strike me, so that it would knock that chair over, and I could get out of it and shift. He took the bait and hit me so hard that it knocked the chair over. My lip was bleeding, and my head was also.

I immediately shifted to Sasha. She was more than ready to attack. She attacked the man to the right and tore his throat out. Blood gushed everywhere. She then attacked the man to the right. then turned her attention to Robert. He was still in human form. Sasha lounged at him. He dodged her and hit her in the head with a fist. It stunned her for a moment. Then she planted all fom of her paws on the ground and howled. It was like getting hit in the head did not faze her. I couldn’t help but feel the power starting to surge through her. She howled again, and this time a white beam came from around her, and it hit Robert in the stomach and knocked him over. He got up, and it was clear he was angry.

He then shifted to his wolf Danger. Danger is vicious, cruel, and has no heart. He will kill anyone he can get his teeth on. He lounges at me, and that clears the way through the door. Danger grabs Sasha’s back leg and twists it. It breaks in two places. She drops to her stomach. She continues limping to the door. All of a sudden, the door bursts open, and Nash runs through the door. Stacey is with them. She is in human form. I shift back to human form, and my leg is broken again from Danger breaking it. Nash and Danger are fighting. I want to stay and help, but Stacey throws me over her shoulder and carries me to the car that is waiting. I can hear the fighting going on. Then Nash howls and drags Danger out by the neck. He has just been knocked out.

They throw him in the van behind us. Nash then shifts back to Alfred. Stacey gave me to Alfred, and I can see the concern and anger on his face. He gets in the car and drops me on the seat next to him. He fumbles around under the seat and pulls out a huge T-shirt. He then puts it on me and then pulls my injured leg onto his lap. In one swift movement, he sets the bone in my leg, and 1 nearly pass out from the pain. But instead, I glared at Alfred. He glared right back at me. He roughly wraps my leg with two sticks and an Ace bandage. We then drive to the hospital. We stop at the emergency room, and Alfred, still naked, gets out of the car with me in his arms, and he walks into the hospital. He walks to a room, dumps me on a bed, yells for the doctor, then he walks out. He is beyond mad at me.

The doctor came into the room.

The alpha is pretty pissed at you.”

“I know.”

That was the only thing I could say. I didn’t know what else to say. He was agitated. I know that I put myself in danger by leaving the safe house. I needed to see my baby and make sure that he was OK. Which he was. Stacey did he best to defend me. But when you’re knocked unconscious, there’s not much you can do. The doctor is examining my leg. He told me that it is already healing and will be fully healed by the next day. I was happy about that. I know that Alfred will be, too. He finishes splitting my leg with all the proper stuff. He then gives me a shot of pain meds and then leaves the room.
