The Alpha Of The Shadow Pack And His Mute Luna (by Beatrice Putnam) novel Chapter 59

Chapter 59

Alfreds POV

83

I had gotten up before Vanessa. I bought her a gold bracelet. I left her a note and the bracelet. I then meant the flower guy in my office. I had ordered a dozen roses and a vase for her. I set the roses on the table and left another note. I also purchased yoga mats for us. I have not done yoga in years. However, it also helps stretch stiff muscles and build muscles. I felt like she needed it. I was going to train with her. I was going to ensure she got every advantage possible. It would be another hour before she woke up. I had walked out to the garden.

Even though the weather was changing, it was still warm enough outside to enjoy the weather. I had Tiffany, the yoga instructor, meet me there. She had the mats laid out and

was ready to go when we were there. I then went and checked on the academy, and

everyone was training. Even Mandy was out there training. I was impressed she was out

there and not stuck in the bedroom with her mate. But he was out there, too. They were

taking being ready for anything seriously. That is why she is a warrior. She puts the pack

above herself.

I then went back to where the yoga mats are. I stood there waiting, and Vanessa came out of the house. She had on a pink workout outfit. It looked amazing on her. If Tiffany were not here, I would ravish her. But we are not alone. After doing the exercise and watching Vanessa have her butt up in the air, I got turned on. I knew I should not be, but it was turning on to see Vanessa twist and bend. But I’m her mate, and she will always turn me on like that. It is no wonder that after finishing our yoga session, we went and took a shower. I still had things that I needed to tend to.

I kissed her and left the room. I needed to see what my scouts had found regarding the Winterland Pack. I went to the office and my scouts were there. They reported that they were getting ready for war. They were arming themselves and getting their loved ones to shelter. The alpha of the pack was preparing his most skilled warriors. My best warriors were always ready. I did not need to prepare them. Everyone in my pack needed to be ready, so I sent messages out through the pack. I had the packssafe room already prepared and provisioned for the young ones and for the mothers and the elderly who could no longer fight.

The mothers were to stay with their young ones. The pregnant ones would be down there too. Vanessa. Stacey and my parents would be in the safe room in the house. My scouts

informed me that they would not be attacking for a couple more weeks. I had checked

that the preparations for our mating ceremony were ready. I will move it up for tomorrow,

so that I know that Vanessa had a ceremony. War was never pretty. Also, there were

humans to contend with. They have been on a witch hunt frenzy lately. Some witches

have begun casting spells on people.

I had been following them closely because I didn’t want it to trickle onto my land. I’m not fond of witches because they have cursed my family and Vanessa’s as well. They have their uses if need be. However, I know that they are currently hunting witches. I called Jaques

to see about Vanessa’s dress. It was ready. She has her final fitting this afternoon. I was in the middle of making some phone calls when Leon yelled.

Mate is trouble.

I dropped everything I was doing and left my office. I ran around the house quickly and

immediately noticed that Vanessa was not there. I then followed her scent out the back door. She had shifted. Her clothes had been folded nicely and placed on a chair. I then heard people yelling, and then I listened to a wolf howl. It was Sasha. I immediately shifted and ran towards where the howling was coming from. Sasha was about to drop. There was a dart sticking out of her neck. She had interrupted something. At least six people were chasing her. What the hell did she stumble onto?

I immediately shifted back to human form.

What is the meaning of this?

Alfred, it’s me, Kolby.

Kolby, why are you chasing my Luna?

I apologize, but I did not know she was your Luna.

We were taking care of a witch that had been casting spells on humans.

They helped me carry her back to the house. She had already shifted to human form from whatever they had put in the dart. I had Mandy’s help to put some pajamas on her. I then got her into bed. It would be a while before she woke up. I then put some clothes on. Kolby was meeting me in my office.

What is going on? Why did you dart my Luna?

I was still furious about that part of it. He never explained that to me.

She’s the white wolf.

Yes, I know.

She has magical powers.

That I knew, but what magical powers. I knew that the moon goddess gave her special powers. But what are they?

Alfred, she is wanted by all werewolves, vampires, and witches.

Well, that is just great. She is just a werewolf with powers. That should not be held against her. She was very weak, and now she is getting stronger. She is unaware of her powers. I have not told her about them. I have focused on her physical health. I have not even started to address her other powers. I did not even know what powers she had. She is not a hybrid. That is one thing the doctor confirmed when he did a blood test. That she is one hundred percent werewolf. It is times like these that I wish I could talk to the moon

goddess.

I will go and ask Leroy if he could help me talk to the moon goddess. I’m not sure if that’s possible. It was not like they could use her blood, or could they? I have no idea.

I’m telling you this. If you or any of your people are caught on my land again, I will hunt you down and take care of you.

Now get the fuck out of my office.

He left and slammed the door behind him. I then went to be with Vanessa. She had woken

up, and Mandy had brought her something to eat. She did not feel well enough to get out of bed. So I had Mandy and Randy bring me a box of paperwork. I will sit here and be with her until she feels better. I was starting to get hungry. I told her that I was going to get us

some dinner. I left the room.
