Alfreds POV

I left the room and ran straight into Kolby.

“I’m sorry, Alfred, but I’m going to take her with me.”

“No, you are not.”

Within seconds, I was surrounded by other witches. I let out a howl, and the house was filled with werewolves. They surrounded us and took Kolby and his companions into custody. This was too easy. I immediately turned and opened the bedroom door. The window was broken, and Vanessa was gone. I let out an anguished growl, and everyone knew what had happened. I turned around and started to beat Kolby. I kept hitting him and hitting him. I’m beyond furious. A warlock would come into my house and kidnap my Luna. He is lucky that I’m only beating him.

He knows more than he is telling. Chris stopped me from continuing to beat him. He dragged him away to jail. But somehow he escapes. He ran towards the woods. I was pissed. I shifted into Leon and chased after him. But he got away. I was furious. I hate witches. They could cast spells on things to make them fly, I’m so angry at what happened. Her scent is still strong, but it’s fading fast.

On top of everything, it starts to rain, which is going to wash her scent away. This isn’t a good day. I changed directions and headed to the prophet’s house.

His door is shut, and he is nowhere to be found outside. I burst into his door, and he was sitting at his kitchen table. I shift back into human form, and I run at him and pick him up by the throat and hold him against the wall.

He can barely talk; he’s struggling to breathe. I lessened my grip on his throat.

“YOU BETTER SPEAK NOW.”

He starts to say that once she is completely healed, she can use the powers of the moon goddess to destroy entire kingdoms and species. I knew the moon goddess was strong and could call on the moon’s powers to use them if she ever needed. I knew that she could. shoot white balls of light to take people out. He then informed me that if Vanessa was connected to the moon’s power, she could use her powers. But she is not physically able to. Because she is not fully healed.

She has a lot to do still, but that will be something I will worry about later. Right now, I need to find one of Kolby’s minions. They would know where to see him. I quickly dropped him, then ran back to the house. I put on fresh clothes. I knew where witches hung out. There is a village not that far from where they hung out at the bar that was in the center of the village. I know a few of them will talk. If they don’t speak, I will make them talk. I get into the gun safe I have in my office and get my gun. I then called Chris, Stacey, Randy, Mandy, and, of course, the king and queen to come with us.

I then had the black van pulled to the front of the house. We all load up. There is no need to worry about shifting. Most witches do not want to be found out. It could lead to their death. We then pull up to the bar and unload. We then walk into the bar single file. I made sure that my parents were in the middle of everyone. I want them to be protected even though I know that they can take care of themselves. But they are still the king and queen. I walked straight up to the bar and demanded to talk to the person who ran the place. A young man with a haircut that you would think is a vampire walks over to me.

Alfred, what can I do for you?”

You can tell me where Kolby is.”

“I don’t kno.”

I didn’t even let him finish his sentence before I grabbed him by the throat and hauled him over the bar. Fear flashed in his eyes. He knew that I could squeeze his neck and break it. Witches are humans after all.

“I will take you to him.”

You had better use no magic and no tricks.”

As we were trying to leave, a gang of men stood up and acted as if they were going to try

to stop us. The man I have by the neck stops them. We then left. He took us all over the countryside, and we still did not find Kolby. I finally had enough of his nonsense and had Chris pull the van over. I yanked him out and had Chris start making a stake to tie him to. I then have a pile of wood put around it.

If you don’t want to be burned to death, then I suggest you start talking.”

Again, fear flashes in his eyes. I’m in no mood to play around. I need to find Vanessa. Every minute that passes, and I don’t know where she is, my heart is breaking, and I feel

sick to my stomach.

Kolby is at the abandoned castle.”

I then tied him to a pole and lit it on fire anyway. He knew where she was the whole time. The abandoned castle is ten miles away from here. I ordered several of the warriors to shift and run ahead. Chris picks up their clothes and guns. We then get in the van and haul ass towards the castle. I tried to be patient as we headed towards them. Finally, as the van was moving, I took my clothes off and handed Stacey my gun.

“Be careful.”

She knows that there is nothing she can say to stop me. I open the window as far as it will go, and I jump out of it. As I’m flying through the air, I/shift. Leon takes off towards the abandoned castle. I’m much faster than my warriors. I know that they will meet me there. I get to the outside fence of the castle and stop. With all my being, I wanted to rush in there and rip Kolby to shreds, but I also knew that I could not do anything half fast because I did not want my precious Vanessa to get hurt. The warriors who had shifted met me there and shifted back to human form. I do the same. We are all naked, and it does not

bother us.

I can hear rocks crunching under the tires of the vans. I peeked out of the bushes that we were using for cover. I waved Chris over to where we were. He kills the lights and pulls behind all the trees. The warriors and I get dressed, and I get my gun back from Stacey.
