The Alpha Of The Shadow Pack And His Mute Luna (by Beatrice Putnam) novel Chapter 62

Chapter 62

Alfreds POV

After gathering in the bushes, we came up with a game plan. Several wolves would attack from each side, and our main priority would be to get Vanessa. We were gearing up when a white light came from the dungeon. I knew that was where she was. I could hear yelling and screaming coming from the dungeon as well. We finished suiting up. Everyone took

ing from

their positions, and we attacked. We all went inside the castle at the same time. I knew that my warriors would be OK. They are welltrained. Some were fighting in human form, and some in wolf form.

I made my way to the dungeon entrance. I was surprised when the guards were werewolves. I already knew what pack they belonged to. I was after Kolby and Vanessa. I planned to rescue Vanessa first and then take Kolby prisoner. I shifted into Leon. I was not going to waste bullets on wolves when I could easily tear their heads off. I was in no mood to take prisoners for interrogation. Maybe someone else will take prisoners. But I had no patience for it at the moment. I was driven to get to my Luna. I ripped out one of the guards, though you could still see his muscles moving as he fell to the ground. The second one cowardly crawled down and ran out of the room. 1

I then ran straight towards the cells. I didn’t have to guess which cell she was in because I heard her screaming. When I got to the cell door, it was shut. I hurled my body at it and knocked it down. When I walked into the cell, Vanessa was on the ground. Leon walked over to her and nuzzled her. She nodded her head, indicating she was OK. I then lowered my front half so she could crawl onto my back. Kolby was starting to move. Leon struck him with his tail, knocking him out again. We then ran out of the castle, and I had Chris get Vanessa. I watched him carry her to the van and shut the door before I ran back into the castle.

When I got back to Kolby, he had regained consciousness. He was standing up with a gun pointed at me. Leon lunged at him and wrapped his teeth around the hand that held the gun. He was trying to shake Leon off him. But it was not working. I just sank his teeth more into his hand. Leon jerked his head and ripped off his hand. He dropped to the ground. When he was down, I shifted back into a human. I then hit him repeatedly until blood was coming from his mouth, and he was spitting teeth out. That’s when Chris held me back from him.

We need him alive to figure out where the rest of his coven is.

As much as I hated to admit it, he was right. I let him haul him off. I stormed out of the

dungeon and went straight to the van that had my precious Luna. I then climbed in. She

was waking up. I knew that I was naked, and I did not care. I wrapped my arms around her

and pulled her close. I was so relieved that she had not been seriously injured. I knew she

was exhausted. She fell asleep on the way back to the house. Chris made sure to have

guards everywhere. There were even royal guards from the palace. I knew that was what

my parents were doing.

They wanted to make sure things were secured for when we got back. I got out of the van

and helped Vanessa out. We walked straight into the house and then went to take a

shower. I held her while we showered. I just needed to feel her close to me. I needed to feel her skin next to mine. We showered, then I got out first and got dressed. I left her to get out and get dressed. I went to the kitchen to get us something to eat. It was around

noon at that time. I have been awake for over twentyfour hours. I have been busy rescuing Vanessa.

I walked back into the room, and Vanessa was sitting on the couch. I handed her a

sandwich and a glass of milk. I then went and got her vitamins. Even though it had been a

long few days, I wanted her to take her vitamins. She needed them for her health. I sat

down and we ate. I started to read her mind. She was worried that she was a burden to

me, and it was making me sad. She then turned towards me.

Alfred, I need to talk to you.

She did not need to say anything. I know about her powers and how she is feeling, but I will let her speak because I know it will help her.

I have powers from the moon goddess.

I know.

I’m sorry for being a burden.

Little one, you are not a burden.

I love you.

She then started to cry. I pulled her close to me and held her until she quit crying. After she settled down, I put her to bed. I held her until she fell asleep. I could not go to bed. I still had things to do. The first thing I was going to do was interrogate Kolby if he was

still alive. I also needed to call Robbie Tyler Glider’s brother. He is a witch, and he would know what to do with Kolby, and he could answer my questions. Robbie is nothing like Tyler. He knew that he had cursed my family, and he had tried for years to find a way to break the curses on my brothers.

But he has not found a way to. I’m not the oldest of them, I’m the youngest brother. My other brothers are older than I, and I left Vanessa in the bedroom asleep. I had posted Mandy inside the room to protect her, just in case she needed it. I also posted Stacey and her mate outside in the hallway. I knew that Vanessa would be protected. Chris was coming with me. He also posted several warriors he trusted throughout the house. She was going to be protected. My father even had royal guards surrounding the house. I went to my office and called Robbie.

Hey Robbie, how are you?

I’m good, old friend.

He was happy to hear from me. But he was not pleased about why I was calling. He said it would take him a couple of hours to get here. He told me that no one should be in the cell with him and to keep his hands chained with silver chains. He also gave me an enchantment to say over them. Which I did, there was no way he was going to escape unless someone physically let him out. Ten guards were watching his cell. There was no way anybody was getting in there. I heard a car pull up.
