Vanessa POV

Even after yelling at him that I wanted to help, he picked me up and threw me over his shoulder and hauled me downstairs and tried to lock me in that safe room. I was not going to give up. I had managed somehow to get around him and lock him in the room. He banged on the door and yelled for me to let him out, and I refused. He then shoved the door open with all his might, and it broke. I was standing on the third step from the bottom. So I was not hit by any of the debris coming from the door. Which I was surprised by. He then stormed up to me and again threw me over his shoulder.

He used his super werewolf speed, and the next thing I knew, we were in the tower I had seen several times but never explored further. He dropped me on a bed and then was immediately at the door, shutting it. I heard the door lock. Then I heard him tell Stacey and TJ that nobody had come in, and I hadn’t gone out. I walked back to bed and sat down. I crossed my arms over my chest. I stared at the door, trying to figure out how I was going to get out of this one. Alfred had made it very clear that they were not supposed to let me out.

I am the Luna. Maybe they will listen to me because of that. I walked up to the door and said it very sweetly.

“Let me out now.”

Sorry, Luna, but Alpha told us not to let you out.”

Well, that did not work. I guess I will have to figure something else out. I could feel myself getting angrier and angrier. Then the white light appeared again. This time I was able to channel it at the door. The door split open and I walked through it. Stacey and TJ were knocked out. I needed to get to Alfred and help any way I could. When I got down the stairs and saw the battle lines drawn, the wolves were fighting each other. Then I looked to the left and saw Robert, the meanest alpha I had ever heard of. He was going to pay for what he had done. I shifted to Sasha.

I then charged at him. He had a cocky smell on his face. It only angered me more. Within seconds, my teeth were sunk into his neck. I could taste his blood in my mouth. Then he threw me off him. Then again, I plunged at him. This time, he sidestepped and I missed. He was toying with me. I then decided to toy with him. I knew that my goddess powers

would keep me safe. I then danced around in a circle around him. He then started to

speak.

“What this.’

Is this some sort of new attack?”

Sasha did not respond to him. She was busy planning her next attack. She then called on her goddess power and let out a howl, which stopped the fighting all around us. Everyone was frozen. Robert was fighting hard to try to overcome it. But he could not overcome the power of a goddess. He dropped to his knees. Within seconds, Alfred was there. I knew he was not happy that I had gotten out of the tower. I knew he would have a strong opinion about the situation, but at that point, I didn’t care. I wanted to help, and I wasn’t going to let him stop me.

I understood what he was doing. Robert was on his knees in front of me, and Alfred had shifted back to human form. He picked him up by the neck. He had him up in the air. He was not going to let him catch his breath. Roberts‘ feet were dangling, and he was still trying to get away. But Alfred had him in a death grip. Two warriors came up behind Alfred, and he handed Alfred over to them. He then looked at me and said.

“Little one. Stay here and don’t move.”

Stacey and TJ came up behind me and grabbed onto me. He was going to make sure I was not going anywhere. I don’t blame him. I did not listen to him. He followed the guards to the jail and made sure Rober4t was secured before he came back to me.

“My Sweet Vanessa, you are in trouble.”

He grabbed my hand and started walking back to the house. He was practically dragging me back. He was walking faster than I could keep up. I did not complain, though. I just tried to keep up with him the best I could. By the time we got back to the house, the door was fixed, and when we walked in, you couldn’t tell that it had been vandalized a while ago. How was he able to do that? While we are fighting, does he have people come in and fix things? I know that he has many people who do many things. Like cleaning and repairing things. I don’t understand how he can have so many people. He is of royal blood.

Then she was gone. I was sitting on the couch in the living room of the house, and Alfred was sitting in the kitchen. I knew he was mad. I wasn’t going to come up with excuses for not obeying him. I slowly got up from the couch and walked over to Alfred.

Alfred Im so.”

He put his finger on my lips to keep me quiet.

“Little one, if I had lost you today, I would never forgive myself.”

Vanessa, you will be queen someday.”

“You need to protect yourself as well as the pack.”

After that, he pulled me into his lap and wrapped his arms around me very tightly. He buried his head into my shoulder, and then he kissed me. This was not what I was expecting from him. I thought he would yell and scream at me. But instead, he just held me. I was concerned about Chris.

Have you heard about Chris and his condition?”

No baby girl.”

I am going to go see him right now.”

“Go take a shower and get some rest.”

He left. I walked into our room and took a shower. I got into some comfortable pajamas and laid down on the bed. It felt like it did not take long for me to fall asleep. It was late when he came back. He looked happy.
