The Contract Said No Strings Attached (Charlotte) novel Chapter 476

“What? Lionel took Raina away?” Justin’s eyes widened in feigned surprise, as if he hadn’t the faintest clue what was going on.

He quickly added, “Mr. Austin, you must be mistaken. Why would I ever work with Lionel to take Raina? That’s absurd.”

Dylan’s voice was icy. “For your own sake, you’d better not be involved. If I find out you and Lionel are partners in this, the Olson Group can start preparing for bankruptcy.”

Justin felt his heart skip a beat. He stared at Dylan in disbelief.

All this—for Raina? Was he really threatening to destroy the Olson Group over her?

Were these two really just boss and secretary?

By the time Justin gathered his thoughts, Dylan had already left the room.

……

As soon as Dylan stepped out into the hallway, he pulled out his phone and barked out orders to have every road blocked off. He then summoned his team, launching a full investigation into Raina’s whereabouts.

He couldn’t quite put his feelings into words—he only knew the anxiety was real.

It wasn’t as though he had some special affection for Raina. Still, she’d come here with him, and she was his assistant. For her to be taken away right under his nose? He felt responsible for her safety.

Especially since Lionel had a notorious reputation as a womanizer—and after what just happened in the private dining room, Dylan doubted Raina would be safe with him.

He hung up and strode toward the exit, determined to start searching himself.

Suddenly, someone grabbed his arm. “Mr. Austin, what are you doing out here?”

He turned. It was Garcia.

Annoyance flickered across his face. “I’m busy. I need to go.”

But Garcia stepped in front of him. “Oh, right—Mr. Austin, I came here with Ma’am. She’s here too. Why don’t you join us for a bite? She was just talking about you—”

“I don’t have time. You two enjoy,” Dylan interrupted, brushing her off.
