The Contract Said No Strings Attached (Charlotte) novel Chapter 545

Hearing this, Gordon finally snapped, snarling, "Since you won't give me the money, don't blame me for what happens next!"

With that, he signaled to his men, who slowly closed in, trapping Rebecca in the middle.

"Ms. Zade, are you going to come with us willingly, or do we have to get rough?" the leader said with a raised eyebrow.

Rebecca backed away slowly. "Is it you Gordon owes money to?"

One of the men grinned. "That's right. He owes us. But now he's sold you to us to cover his debt. It'd be best if you just paid up quietly. If you don't..." As he spoke, he reached out to grab Rebecca.

Just then, a black sedan sped toward them and screeched to a halt at the curb.

The door flew open and Dylan got out, his eyes blazing with a cold, murderous fury as he stared down Gordon and his men.

"What are you doing?" His presence was like a powerful force, instantly shattering the tense, volatile atmosphere.

Gordon and his crew were startled by the sudden turn of events. Seeing Dylan, Gordon became flustered. "Mr. Austin, what... what are you doing here?"

Dylan ignored Gordon, striding forward and pulling Rebecca out of their grasp, shielding her behind him.

He scanned the men before him. "What do you think you're doing?"

The leader tried to act calm. "You must be Mr. Austin. Gordon here just sold us his daughter to settle his debt, so if you'll please step aside."

But Dylan didn't move an inch.
