The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 12

“Yes, that’s right,” Mr. Shepherd said with a smile. “Rosewood College has two legends. First, there’s you, David. Second is this girl. She earned two degrees at sixteen, just like you. She’s a genius, honestly. Too bad you were a few years apart, or you might’ve met her.”

Cedric’s eyes lit up. “Wait, seriously? This girl is that amazing? Between her and David, who’s smarter?”

Mr. Shepherd looked at David, still smiling. “I’d say they’re evenly matched.”

David lifted an eyebrow. He had never met a girl who could keep up with him before.

Jessa had never heard of any girl who could rival David. She wasn’t usually the jealous type, but now she felt a twist of unease in her chest. Who was this girl, anyway?

Jealousy crept in before she could stop it.

Mr. Shepherd took out his phone. “David, I’ve sent you her contact info. She’s in Rockford Bay too. As her senior, you should look out for her when you have time.”

David nodded. “Alright.”

Once Mr. Shepherd left, Cedric nudged David. “Come on, add her already. I want to see what she looks like.”

David pulled out his phone, opening the contact info. The username was just a single letter: E. The background was completely white.

Cedric squinted at the screen. “What’s the E for?”

David just shrugged. He sent a friend request, adding his name as a note.

The request was still pending.

Cedric was practically buzzing with excitement. “David, as soon as she accepts, you have to send me her info. I’m already a fan.”

Jessa noticed how quickly both guys were getting caught up with Ella. She felt her mood drop. Just then, a sleek Rolls Royce pulled up to the curb. David’s assistant, Aiden, was behind the wheel.

Jessa jumped at the chance to interrupt. “David, the car’s here. Let’s go.”
