The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 126

Ella tugged Lilly into the women’s restroom.

As she listened to Mr. Lynch’s voice message, Ella quickly typed out a reply. “Good luck, Mr. Lynch.”

Back in his study, Mr. Lynch smiled at the message. The way she called him “Mr. Lynch” felt oddly endearing, almost intimate. He sent another voice message. “Thank you. I will do his best.”

Ella slipped her phone back into her purse. Lilly caught her hand. “Ella, let’s get out of here.”

Just as they headed for the door, it swung open. Two girls walked in.

Jessa and Sarah.

The four of them stood face to face. Jessa’s lips curled into a smug grin. “Ella, what are you doing here? I heard David kicked you out of the Harmon estate. Are you really slumming it in the Central College dorms now?”

Jessa was still basking in the aftermath of her dramatic tumble down the stairs, eager to flaunt her victory to Ella, the supposed loser.

Ella just arched a brow, completely unfazed. She even smiled. “Jessa, I have to say, I’ve never seen anyone so proud to pick up someone else’s scraps.”

Wait… what?

Scraps?

Jessa froze, caught off guard.

Ella’s smile widened. “Isn’t that what you’re doing? I slept in that bed. David is just my hand-me-down. And here you are, fighting so hard to claim what I left behind. Cleanliness clearly isn’t your thing.”

Jessa’s face turned pale. She opened her mouth, but no words came out.

Lilly couldn’t help but giggle. “Ella, so this is the infamous homewrecker, Jessa?”

That word hit a nerve. Jessa shot Lilly a murderous glare. “And who the hell are you?”

Sarah looked completely confident. “No problem, Jessa. Just watch me.”

Jessa turned to the mirror to fix her makeup, but something popped into her head. “By the way, Sarah, have you figured out who Mr. Lynch’s daughter is? Allie?”

Mr. Lynch had a daughter late in life, and he absolutely adored her. She was the youngest in the Lynch family, the family’s little princess since the day she was born. Everyone called her Allie.

Allie was also David’s cousin, and he spoiled her rotten.

The Lynch family was old money, with connections everywhere in the city.

Jessa had been trying to find out who Allie was, but both the Harmon and Lynch families kept her under such tight protection that she was practically a ghost.

Sarah frowned. “It’s weird, Jessa. I heard Allie goes to Central College too, but I’ve checked the records of every student named Lynch. She’s nowhere to be found.”
