The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 131

Sarah strutted through the halls with her head high. Central College was her territory, and dealing with Ella was almost too easy.

"Jessa, I swear, Ella's basically here for a two-day tour. This is the kind of story we'll be laughing about for the rest of our lives."

At Harmon Corporation, the VIP conference room was dead quiet. A long table stretched down the center, filled with senior executives, each wearing the company's blue ID badge. The finance chief was in the middle of his quarterly report, and everyone listened in total silence.

David sat at the head of the table. He wore a perfectly fitted black suit that somehow made him look even more intimidating. His sharp eyes stayed focused on the papers in his hands, his whole presence radiating quiet authority.

Suddenly, the door opened. Aiden hurried in, looking tense.

He handed his phone to David and spoke in a hushed, nervous voice. "Sir…"

Aiden never interrupted meetings like this unless something serious was happening.

David didn't even glance up. "What is it? Just say it."

The CFO stopped talking. Every single person in the room turned to stare at Aiden, waiting.

Aiden could feel sweat beading on his forehead. Well, you told me to speak, he thought.

"Sir, Central College just called. They said Mrs. Harmon got into a fight at school."

A ripple of sharp breaths ran around the table.

David's hand, frozen on the report, stayed perfectly still. He finally looked up, his eyes cold. "What did you say?"

"Sir, Mrs. Harmon was in a fight. The school says her guardian needs to come in immediately. They're asking for you."
