The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 168

The rich kids wasted no time piling on the teasing. “So, Atlas, is this a friend or are you finally introducing us to your boyfriend or girlfriend?”

“Atlas, are you hiding a secret relationship from us?”

“Come on, is today the big reveal? Whose daughter finally got our Atlas to settle down?”

Atlas just grinned, his lips curled in a smirk. “Just keep it down, will you? Don’t go scaring her off.”

That only made everyone more excited, the whole room buzzing with curiosity.

David lounged on the sofa, Jessa right by his side. She nudged him with a grin. “David, do you think Atlas is waiting for Ella?”

Cedric jumped in, “Has to be. Atlas is totally obsessed with her.”

Sarah’s face tightened with jealousy. Not just anyone could get into their group. Usually, David only brought Jessa around. Now Atlas was inviting Ella to his birthday. That said everything about how seriously he liked her.

David, dressed all in black and looking sharp as always, seemed completely unfazed, as if none of this had anything to do with him.

Just then, the door swung open. A tall, graceful figure stepped inside. Ella had arrived.

Atlas was on his feet in a second. “Ella, you made it.”

She handed him a gift bag. “Happy birthday, Atlas.”

He took it with a smile and led her over to the sofa. “Ella, meet my friends.”

The whole room instantly turned to look at her. Someone whistled. “Atlas, didn’t know you were dating an actual model.”

“So that’s your type, Atlas.”

He frowned, gentle but firm. “No alcohol. Just juice.”

Jessa had a heart condition, and whenever they went out, David was strict. No exceptions, no drinks, only juice.

The others burst out laughing. “See? Mr. Harmon and Jessa are so in sync. No one could ever come between them.”

Cedric leaned back, popping his gum, and shot a glare at Ella. “The only problem is the people who don’t know when to quit.”

Cedric and Sarah’s every word was aimed right at her. Ella didn’t say a thing. She just sat up straighter, her back perfectly straight and graceful.

Sarah opened her mouth to say something else, but then David looked up. His eyes were cold, sweeping across Sarah and the others. “Enough. It’s not my birthday. Let’s not make it about me.”

Everyone quieted down, focus shifting back to Atlas. “Atlas, come on, open your presents. Let’s see what the little cutie brought you.”
