The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 192

“Are you seriously about to start a fight?”

David’s eyes narrowed and suddenly the whole room felt electric. He and Atlas seemed ready to go at it, and the tension was almost too much.

Jessa just stared, shock written all over her face. Atlas, going toe to toe with David over Ella? They’d been best friends since they were kids, practically grew up in the same crib.

Without missing a beat, Jessa spun on Ella. “Happy now, Ella? You flirt with guys, make them fight over you, and act all innocent. You really know how to play the game.”

Atlas' jaw tightened. “That’s enough, Jessa.”

Ella reached for Atlas and touched his arm, her voice soft. “Don’t, Atlas. It’s not worth it. Please don’t get upset because of me.”

Atlas looked right at her, his gaze steady. “You’re worth it, Ella.”

Her heart skipped a beat.

He shrugged off his coat and wrapped it gently around her shoulders, then slipped his fingers through hers. “Let’s get out of here. This place isn’t any fun.”

He was ready to walk her out.

“Wait,” Ella said.

Atlas let go and watched as she grabbed her phone off the table. She turned back to him, nodding. “Okay, I’m ready.”

Atlas smiled, a little softer this time, and took her hand again. “Let’s go.”

Soon the only ones left in the suite were David and Jessa.

Jessa shot David a look. “Wow, I didn’t think Atlas would ditch your friendship for Ella. She’s got some serious tricks up her sleeve, doesn’t she?”

David’s face was stone cold. Suddenly he kicked the trash can so hard it crashed against the wall, the sound echoing through the room.

Jessa’s lips curled up in satisfaction. The condoms and lingerie? She’d called room service herself and had them sent up. Everything was going according to plan.

She pulled out her phone. Earlier, Sarah had snapped some pictures of her, and Ella had ended up in the background—wearing that exact bikini. The photo was about to come in handy.

Tim was back in his room when the doorbell rang.

He opened the door and looked around. No one was there. Then he noticed a photo lying on the floor. He picked it up and saw Ella, clear as day, in her magenta bikini.

Tim’s eyes lit up, a wicked grin spreading across his face. “Found her.”

Outside the villa, Atlas walked quietly by Ella’s side. She looked up at him, concern in her eyes. “Atlas, please don’t let this ruin things between you and Mr. Harmon.”

Atlas shook his head. “Ella, I’ve known David for years. He’s always been calm, always respectful. I’ve never seen him act like that with anyone, especially not a girl.”
