The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 330

[Back at school yet?] David typed.

He was checking if she’d made it back to Central College. Luke had drove her tonight, and just picturing her in another guy’s car made David’s lips press together in frustration.

But his annoyance froze on his face a second later. The message didn’t send. A little red exclamation point popped up.

[You are not friends with this person. Please add them as a friend to chat.]

David’s expression darkened. Ella had blocked him.

Actually, she’d blocked him the day their divorce was final.

It hit him all over again. They were divorced now. It was over.

She’d loved him once, with everything she had. But that was over too.

She didn’t love him anymore.

David, I don’t love you anymore.

Her voice echoed in his mind, clear and steady from that day. She’d looked him in the eye and told him herself. She was done.

He scrolled to a contact labeled E. It was her, just under a new name.

He tried sending a friend request.

No response.

Just then, his phone rang. Jessa’s name lit up the screen.

“Dad, I just can’t accept this. Ella’s just some girl from the country. She dropped out of school at sixteen. How did she suddenly become this prodigy? I’m scared, Dad. I’m scared David’s going to fall for her.”

“Grandma Chelsea doesn’t like me. I’ve already offended the Lynch family. Dad, when am I ever going to marry David?”

Jessa’s face was twisted with anger and frustration, her tears spilling over as she cried.

Peter’s heart broke for her. He hugged her tight. “Jessa, we’ll figure it out. You’ll marry Mr. Harmon. I promise.”

Jessa finally went to her room and lay down. Peter walked back to the living room, where the maids had already cleaned up the mess. He sat on the couch alone, lost in thought.

The TV was on, playing a financial news channel. “Business tycoon Moss Jordan returned to the capital yesterday, seen at the royal cemetery. For years, Mr. Jordan has searched for his long-lost daughter, the heiress to the world’s greatest fortune, missing since childhood and still not found.”

The screen showed the royal cemetery under gray, drizzling rain. A tall, imposing figure stood motionless before a gravestone. Behind him, an assistant held a black umbrella over his head. The rain slid down the umbrella, blurring the man’s features and shrouding him in mystery.
