The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 341

David slowly turned to face her, his handsome features catching the light.

Ella was completely focused on gently massaging the bump on his head, not even noticing how close they had gotten. Suddenly, as David shifted, she felt something soft against her lips.

His cool lips brushed hers, so quick and unexpected that for a second, she couldn't even process what happened.

Ella’s eyes went wide. She froze, staring at him in shock.

David met her gaze. “Ella, you kissed me.”

He said it like it was the most natural thing in the world. You kissed me.

Ella opened her mouth, ready to say something, but right then, voices echoed through the snowy air. Luke and their classmates were searching nearby. “Ella? Ella!”

“She was just skiing over there. Where’d she go?”

Luke had brought everyone over, calling her name.

Ella tried to answer, but barely got out a sound. “I…”

Before she could finish, David’s hand slid behind her head, and he pulled her in for a real kiss.

What was he thinking?

She immediately tried to pull away, but his grip was strong, and he didn’t let her go. His lips pressed firmly against hers, his tongue slipping between her lips, deepening the kiss until she was dizzy and breathless.

Luke’s voice came from just beyond a big boulder. “Ella? Ella, are you here?”

Ella’s heart was pounding so hard she thought it might burst. Luke was right on the other side, and here she was, lying with David in the snow, tangled up in each other, hidden by nothing but a rock.

David’s breathing grew heavier. The girl in his arms was so tense, she didn’t even realize she was clinging to him, her lips moving with his. Earlier, when she tried to get up, she had ended up straddling his waist, and now her knees squeezed tight around him.

The feeling sent a rush through his body, his eyes burning at the corners.

“Luke, we checked everywhere over here. She’s not here.”

“Maybe Ella went somewhere else. Or she’s in the restroom?”

“Let’s go look somewhere else.”

Ella’s eyes went wide. She noticed a couple of people glancing over. Panicking, she pulled out her phone. “Okay, fine! I’ll do it.”

She opened her messaging app and accepted his friend request.

“There. Happy now? You’re not hurt, so let’s just go back.”

But David still wouldn’t let go.

“David, what do you want now?”

He looked at her, his eyes searching her face. “Ella, you still haven’t answered me. Have we met before?”

Did it really matter to him that much?

If he wanted the truth, then maybe it was time she told him what happened in the cave.

“David, we…”
