Rachel and Maureen froze when they saw Jessa pinned to the floor. Shocked, they hurried over to help. “Let her go, right now!”

“This is your third warning. We will have to remove you,” the security guard said, his voice cold.

Before they could react, Jessa, Maureen, and Rachel found themselves shoved out of the Stellaris Apartments. The front doors slammed shut with a heavy thud, leaving them on the sidewalk, stunned.

Jessa stared in disbelief. Maureen was fuming. Rachel was at a loss for words. None of them had ever been treated like this. For Jessa, it was especially humiliating. She was used to being treated like royalty whenever she was with David. Being tossed out like yesterday’s trash was something she’d never experienced before.

Maureen’s face was red with anger. “This is all Ella’s fault! Jessa, what is happening? How did Ella end up with a luxury car and this kind of apartment? And now she’s getting us kicked out? She’s really lost it!”

Jessa squeezed her fists, barely able to hold back her frustration. “What’s so special about her anyway? David dumped her, divorced her, and gave her a pile of money to get lost. That’s it.”

Rachel glared at the grand building, jealousy written all over her face. “No matter how much Mr. Harmon gave her, Ella will burn through it in no time. She’s just a housewife with no job. How is she gonna survive when the money runs out?”

The words seemed to calm Jessa and Maureen a little, giving them something to hold onto.

Maureen turned to Jessa. “You really should find out how much money Mr. Harmon actually gave Ella in the divorce.”

Jessa nodded, curiosity finally getting the better of her. With David’s wealth, it had to be at least a couple hundred million. That kind of money was nothing to him. She hadn’t cared before, but now she needed to know. “I’ll figure it out,” she promised.

Just then, Maureen’s phone started ringing with her favorite ringtone. Her expression immediately changed as she saw who was calling. “It’s Doctor E,” she said, grinning.

She answered, and whatever Doctor E said on the other end made her light up. She actually jumped up and down, barely able to contain her excitement. “That’s amazing! Seriously, that’s incredible!”

Jessa leaned in. “What’s going on? Did Doctor E give you good news?”
