I tip my head back under the spray of water, watching him. “Fallon and | aren’t done with you, Alpha. When we’re finished in here, I want you on the bed,” I growl.

He steps forward, pressing his body against mine and gripping my hair again.

“Not done yet?”

“I’m not done claiming what’s mine,” | growl, snapping my teeth at him.

He looks down at my mouth then back at me. “That’s fucking hot.”

“They call me Hellfire for a reason, Alpha.”

While I wash my hair, Henry begins washing my body, teasing me and making me even more wet for him than I already am.

As soon as I’m bathed and rinsed, I push him out of the shower, backing him to the bed as I kiss him, not caring that we’re dripping water all over the floor.

His arms come around me, holding me to him as we both pant and catch our breath.

His hand slides into my hair, gentle this time, massaging my head while I listen to the sound of his heartbeat and let it calm me.

“She’s really pregnant, isn’t she?” I finally ask.

“Yes. I had Sissy take her to the pack hospital to confirm it.

Once she did, I told her I want a DNA test to prove that it’s mine.

i look up at him, raising an eyebrow. “I bet that didn’t go over well.”

“No, it did not, but I don’t care. You were right, I just didn’t see it,” he looks at me his eyes filled with regret. “There is a possibility that it’s mine, Piper. You need to know that.”

“Well, if you fucked her like you fuck me and she wasn’t on birth control, then it probably is,” I say, feeling my heart constrict at the idea.

He sits up, keeping my legs on either side of him while he takes my face in his hands.

“1 never fucked her like I-fuck you. And I DEFINITELY never made love to her. I also never came inside her, but I wasn’t as careful as I should have been because I wasn’t expecting to find you, and I was expecting to accept her as my mate. I was going to call Kennedy tonight, but my mate needed to make sure I knew who I belonged to, and now it’s probably too late,” he says, smiling and pressing a soft kiss to my lips. “I’ll call her in the morning and find out how long I have to wait until we can do a DNA test to see if it’s mine.”

“And if it is?” I ask, already knowing the answer. I haven’t known Henry long, but I know that family means everything to him and he takes his responsibilities seriously.

“I won’t turn away from my child, Piper. Please don’t ask me to do that.”

” won’t, but what it’s a boy, Henry?”

He frowns.

“What if it is?”

“He would be your heir.”
