My mate did exactly what I asked her to do. She came to me when she needed something. I will always give her what she wants and needs, and then some. But this first time, I wanted to make sure she knew that I meant it.

As soon as she accepted me as her Alpha, I felt the pain inside her, the pain for the mother who suffered because of her father. The pain for the sister who lived her life on the streets because of her father. The pain for the others who still suffer at his hands.

She wanted me to take that pain away, so poured my love into her. I used our new mind link to flood her mind and overwhelm her senses even more than I have before.

She had clung to me, desperately accepting the love she needed to feel. I held her while her body convulsed with orgasms and tears until the last of the pain was washed away and she was left exhausted, but calm and steady again.

When I finally let her body come down, I could feel the exhaustion taking over. I slid out of her, scooping her into my arms.

“You need to eat, Piper,” I murmured, kissing her temple and holding her against me like the precious woman she is.

“Too tired,” she murmured.”Try to eat for me,” I said, holding her and feeding her while she leaned against me. I got about half the sandwich into her before she passed out.

I held her while late, then I took her into the bathroom, drew a bath for us and bathed her before putting her to bed.

I heard my phone ping while I was feeding Piper, but didn’t stop to check it, needing to take care of my mate.

After getting Piper settled, I checked the phone to see a call from Dallas. I called him back.

“Alpha, what happened? We felt a surge of power in the pack. Is everything okay?”

I smiled, looking at my sleeping mate. “Yes. Your Luna accepted me as her Alpha tonight.”

He was quiet a moment. “All that power was from her?”

“Yes it was,” I said proudly.

“Wow. I can’t wait until you mark each other. That’s … that was incredible.”

“Your Luna is an amazing woman,” I said.

“That she is.”

I crawled into bed behind my mate, wrapping my mind and my body around her, letting her know, even in sleep, that she’s safe and loved.This morning, I woke up before her.

I kiss her shoulder. “Piper, we need to get up for warrior training,” I say, gently nudging her mentally and physically. I love being in her mind and I can’t wait until we mark each other and she can be in mine as equally as l am in hers.

As she wakes, I can feel the difference in her this morning from last night. I may have worn her out completely last night, but this morning, she’s waking feeling energized and ready to take on the day.

It’s perfect.

“How do you feel?” I ask as she stretches against me.

“Fan-fucking-tastic! I’d say we should bottle the Henry Bishop Love Rejuvenation Serum, we’d make a fortune, but I’m not sharing that. That, and you, are all mine,” she says, turning to kiss me. “Let’s go. I’m ready to go kick some warrior ass! Then I want to come up with a plan to kick my father and brother’s asses! And while I’m at it, let’s come up with a plan to kick Bitchtine’s ass too!”

I laugh, loving her enthusiasm and that I am partially responsible for helping her feel revitalized this morning.

“Oh, you are the entire reason I feel this good. I only feel this good on mornings after you do that Henry thing where you force me to come for so long and hard that I practically lose my mind and all that’s left in the world is you. And yes, I know I’m stroking that ego of yours, butunlike most Alphas, yours isn’t unbearable.”

“Thank you,” I say, quickly getting dressed.

She stops and sniffs her arms. “Did you bathe me last night?”

“Yes.

She stares at me. “While I was sleeping?”

“I was taking care of you. You were a bit of a mess after I was done with you,” I say, reaching into her mind, not sure what she’s feeling.

I smile as she walks up to me. “That might be the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me. Thank you.”

She lifts up on her toes, wrapping her arms around me and kissing me.
