THE SUBSTITUTE LUNA (IRIS and DRACO) novel Chapter 29

DRACO.

“Stay…” The word came out rugged. It was hard for me to say it. I had told my own mate that I would not give her the rejection she wanted, but had never begged her.

I gave Felicity an option—a choice to walk away or stay with me.

But at this point, I didn’t want to give Iris that. I didn’t want her to leave.

I was still rummaging through my head for anything that could lure her to stay when her lips crashed into mine. I had no idea how to react. I had never allowed anyone to grab me and kiss me. Even when I fucked women, I chose who I would kiss, and there were many instances that I just fucked them without kissing them.

I placed my hand on her jaw and held it tightly while pulling my mouth away from hers, leaving just an inch of space between our faces. “You’ve been stealing kisses, little bird…”

A red tint instantly crept to her cheeks as she swallowed hard. “I’m sorry, Alpha. I won’t do that again.”

I flashed her a devil’s smirk, enjoying the embarrassed expression on her face. She could be bold, but most of the time, she would cower. I had no idea which side I liked more.

“I’m not stopping you. As long as we are not in public.” I told her before capturing her bottom lip and began nibbling and sucking it.

I let go of her hand, pinned against the wall. I grabbed her ass and lifted her off the floor, wrapping her legs around my hips.

“Alpha, we’re in the hallway…” She said raspily as she tilted her head, so my lips landed on her throat.

“And…” I mumbled, sucking the skin of her neck.

“You said not in public…”

“This is my house. My rules. If I want to fuck you in this hallway or in all its four corners, I will…”

“They will see us…”

“Who cares… You can always tell them to fuck off.”

“Me?”

“Yes, you. Didn’t you see that my people have shifted their loyalty from me to you?” My lips trailed up to her ear.

“Alpha… Please don’t be upset with them.”

“As long as they are treating you right, I won’t.”

“They are…”

“Tell me, Iris, are you a nymph?” I pulled away from her neck and locked my gaze with hers. “It seems you know how to enchant the people around you.”

“Am I enchanting you, Alpha?”

“What do you think?”

“It’s not working on you…”

“What made you think that?”

“You didn’t sleep here last night. Who did you spend the night with?” Her eyes squinted.

“Getting bold with your questions, aren’t you?” I scoffed. “Are you more concerned with who I fucked rather than knowing who I killed?”
