The Veil Of Sinner novel Chapter 15

Extremely shocked, Eizlina peered into his icy silver eyes which were already fixed at her. His gaze was looking so calm that it shivered the land beneath her feet because she knew if this man was looking so serene, even after knowing she had attempted to run away from him, then this was really not going to end well for her.

His calmness was going to tear her apart.

Eizlina saw him coming closer to her. His eyes refused to leave her, but his every step growing closer to her, it tightened her hold around her mother like she was trying to hide herself in her mother's arms from this monster who was getting nearer and nearer to her, because she knew how much this monster was going to hurt her for escaping from his cage.

More tears stung her eyes, witnessing him standing right behind her mother and in front of him.

“Your work has been completed here. Leave now,” he uttered, peering into her glossy brown eyes, which filled with a new essence of fear by hearing him.

Whom he was telling to leave? Whose work had been completed here? What was he talking about?

Eizlina was just trying to resolve those questions in her mind when she felt her mother slowly detaching her from her embrace. She lightly withdrew from the hug, but Eizlina was not ready to let go of her mother.

Like a petrified kid, she continued to hold onto her mother. Tears aggressively fell down from her eyes, staining her already wet cheeks more, flushing them a bright shade of red.

His grey eyes silently observed everything.

Eizlina saw her mother looking into her eyes. Her mother's gaze was also filled with tears, which were inaudibly rolling down continuously. She felt her mother trying to take her hand away from her grip, which hurt and shocked Eizlina so much that she couldn't stop herself from breaking down into tears again.

She immediately wrapped her arms around her mother again and buried her head in her neck.

Why was her mother listening to him? Why was she not holding onto her?

What was happening here with her?

His keen eyes watched how badly she was wailing in her mother's arms. She had even started shaking in his terror. Her state told him clearly how scared she was of the pain he had threatened to give her, especially tonight.

She was terrified to even look at him.

Eizlina, who had tightly shut her eyes and was whispering vigorously, felt her mother tenderly pulling her head out from her neck.

“Lina….” She heard her mother calling her, which finally made her open her eyes. She looked at her mother's watery eyes, which were brimming with nothing but just with the tears of pain.

“We have to leave now. Me and your dad wanted to see you, so we have to leave now,” her mother's words appalled her. She darted her gaze towards her father and witnessed him wiping his teary eyes.

What was happening here? Why were her own parents leaving her with him, even after knowing how he had married her?

Why were they doing nothing to protect her from him?

Her mother tried to take her hand back but Eizlina clutched it back more tightly. She aggressively shook her head.

“No, I will go with you. I…I will leave with you. Please take me with you, mum….” She teared up more and this ignited more tears in her parents eyes, whereas for Theron, he continued to keep his mouth sealed while keeping his gaze fixed at Eizlina.

Her mother exhaled a heavy breath at her words. Lifting her hand up, she cupped the side of Eizlina's face.

“We can't take you with us, Lina. At least not yet….” Her mother wiped her tears away, but her words continued to shock Eizlina. She couldn't believe her ears.

Why was her mother saying such things to her, even after she told him what kind of a man he was that he wouldn't think twice before harming her irredeemably?

“No, mum…” she shook her head in denial while holding her mother's hand more firmly.

“I will go with you and dad. I…I will not stay here. Please,” she tried to make her parents understand, who exchanged a glance with each.
