The Veil Of Sinner novel Chapter 24

After almost half an hour of sitting under the shower, Eizlina finally decided to get out of it. But how she wished she could stay here forever, or something much better….what if her breathing would break here completely, so she would not have to face that cruel world, which was waiting for her outside.

Especially that ruthless man, Theron Elzaek.

Wrapping herself in the bathrobe, Eizlina stepped out of the bathroom. She walked towards the bed with her slow, trembling steps as her body was still in pain, especially her knees and feet, but after the warm shower, her wounds were hurting less.

She thought about treating her wounds, so she was walking towards the drawer to get the first-aid box out, but she found the first-aid box already on the bed. It stunned her.

How did it come here?

Sitting on the bed, Eizlina grabbed that first-aid box. And then it stuck in her head about how it came here?

He placed it here for her. Eizlina gritted her teeth. Her grip tightened around that box.

After hurting her so much, he was pretending like he really cared about her wounds?

Unable to control her anger, she threw that first-aid box against a wall, shattering it and its contents completely.

Turning her head away, she fisted the bed sheet underneath her. Once again, her eyes moistened.

What did this man want from her? If he just wanted her body then why was he threatening her over and over again for her acceptance?

If he was capable of doing the worst to her then why was he wanting her consent and acceptance? Why?

After a few minutes, Eizlina saw a house staff member at her door. She was holding a tray of food and fruits in her hands.

“Mrs. Elzaek, Mr. Elzaek told me to tell you to eat and then sleep,” the house staff informed her. Eizlina clenched her fists. His fake concern and care was outraging him.

He wanted her to take care of herself? Why wouldn't he…if she would die here then how was he going to fulfill his sick intentions with her?

He wanted her alive only for satiating his own cruel intentions with her.

Eizlina looked away from that unknown woman and didn't say anything to her, so the house help placed the food on the table beside the bed.

“I am placing it here. Kindly eat it please,” the house help requested.

“You can leave now,” Eizlina uttered to her, keeping her eyes grounded. The house help nodded, and with a bow, she left her room.

Turning her watery eyes, she looked towards that tray of food on the table.

If he wanted her alive then she was going to do everything which would kill her, but she would never let him have her.

Even if it meant she would have to kill herself within these 24 hours.

Next morning, Theron was wearing his usual formal attire as he had an important meeting to attend.

“Yes, Mr. Linwood has already sent the invitation and requested you to attend it,” he heard Salvius telling him on the call about the business party of one of his very important clients, Mr. Linwood.

“Most of your important business clients and our country's powerful business people are invited for it,”

Theron exhaled a heavy breath. He had never been a fan of attending such business parties. He hated being the part of a crowd, which was nothing but a bunch of masked people, who were wearing the facades of being the nicest only to those whom they need to fulfil their own selfishness.

But he also needed to be the part of this crowd, no matter how much he loathed it.

“I will see what I need to do,” he uttered to Salvius, and then disconnected the call.

Exhaling a heavy breath, he shoved his phone inside his pants pocket. Extending his hand, he grabbed his wrist watch to wear it. But then his gaze fell on his own reflection in the mirror before him.

His eyes immediately caught those dark bruises on his forehead, lower lip and right below his ear, and a smirk formed on his face as he recalled how he received them.
