Too Late She Already Married Mr. Right (Sophia) novel Chapter 232

After sending the maid away, Sophia grabbed the skincare products and sat down by her vanity.

The brand was an international luxury giant.

A set of caviar skincare products must cost at least tens of thousands. Richard really went all out for her.

To be honest, compared to all this, Sophia felt like she barely did anything for the Sterling family.

‘How could she accept Richard's generosity without feeling a bit guilty?’ Sophia thought.

Feeling weighed down by all her thoughts, Sophia finished her skincare routine just as her phone started buzzing.

She instinctively frowned when she saw the caller ID.

She answered.

"Sophia, | heard you've been talking to people from the Nelson Group.

Don't go forgetting our deal,” Billy's voice snapped through the receiver, heavy with anger.

Sophia got up and walked over to the floor-to-ceiling window, gazing out at the distant lake and mountains.

With a calm but distant tone, she said, "Mr. Westwood, as I've already made clear, the formula for skin regeneration belongs to Pioneer Institute. I'm not in a position to decide where it goes."

Billy let out a cold snort. "You expect me to buy that? Listen, if you dare sell that formula to the Nelson Group, you'll be stuck serving the Westwood family for the rest of your life."

Sophia's fingers curled tightly around her phone, her voice frosty. "If that's the case, then maybe the Yadel Group shouldn't even exist."

Sophia always understood that getting involved with the rich was like plunging into deep waters. What she never expected was just how tough it would be to escape.

‘If Billy insists on cornering me, then fine—let's all go down together, she wondered.

After all, she had nothing to lose.

With that, Sophia hung up—totally ignoring Billy's furious yelling on the other end.

Behind her, the unmistakable sound of a crisp, confident knock echoed through the room.

It was that signature knock—so distinctively Richard's, Sophia couldn't possibly mistake it for anyone else. Her lips quirked up; only he made an entrance like that.

She turned around, steadying herself, and crossed over to open the door.

Sure enough, Richard was standing there, looking sharp in a fresh outfit, his presence commanding and elegant.

Richard immediately noticed the shift in Sophia's face. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing, let's just go,’ Sophia said, her tone calm and unreadable.

With all the trending drama on Twitter lately, and the way Lucas had been acting around Sophia.

It didn't take much for Richard to put two and two together about the mess she was caught in.

"The Sterling Group has the best legal team around. If you ever need them, just let me know,’ Richard said, his tone steady and reassuring.

Sophia gave him a small smile. "| don't need them right now."

Seeing her smile, Richard finally relaxed. “But if you ever do, promise me you'll tell me. Don't worry about bothering me, okay?"

"Alright," she replied.

Sophia tilted her head and shot him a teasing look. "Mr. Sterling, relax—you're my ace in the hole."

‘If it ever comes down to the wire, he'll be my last resort; she thought.

No way would she ask for his help unless she had no other choice.

‘But if things really got out of control, | wouldn't let my pride get in the way. I'd ask him for help, no question; Sophia told herself.

Richard felt an odd itch in his chest, and almost without thinking, his hand reached up and softly rubbed the back of her head—tender, intimate, and impossibly gentle.

“I'll wait for you,” he murmured.
