Urging Him to Get a Divorce (Aveline and Xavier) novel Chapter 753

**TITLE: A Divorce 753**

**Chapter 753**

Aveline held a stake in that house as well. The thought of Jacob selling it sent a wave of frustration through Collin. How could he even consider such a thing? It was unthinkable.

Collin paused for a moment, his mind racing, and turned to Rupert. “I need to step out to the balcony for a moment. I have to make a call,” he announced, his voice steady but laced with tension.

Rupert nodded in understanding, “Mm, alright.”

He then gestured to Brielle, instructing her to open the balcony door for Collin, who needed a moment of solitude to gather his thoughts.

Meanwhile, Paulina’s anxiety bubbled to the surface. She had a nagging feeling that Jacob was up to no good, and her instinct urged her to follow Collin. However, he shook his head firmly, signaling her to stay put. With a resigned sigh, he stepped out onto the balcony, clutching his phone tightly.

Once outside, he dialed Jacob’s number, his heart pounding in his chest. The moment Jacob answered, Collin wasted no time. “Jacob, if you dare to sell my daughter’s house, I swear I’ll make you regret it,” he warned, his voice low and threatening.

Jacob, unfazed by Collin’s fury, replied coolly, “Dad, the company that Bethany and I started is in serious trouble. We’re in desperate need of funds. I need money.”

Collin felt a surge of anger at Jacob’s casual tone. “I reached out to Aveline for assistance, but she turned me down. So, selling the house is my only option to cover this financial mess,” Jacob continued, his voice steady.

“Whenever my company faced difficulties in the past, Bethany always came through for me by selling her paintings. She left all those pieces behind specifically for times like this, so I could sell them to navigate through the storm.”

Collin’s mind raced with indignation. “But Aveline took all the paintings. You need to make her return them. Even half of them would suffice. That way, I won’t have to resort to selling the house,” Jacob pressed, desperation creeping into his voice.

“I plan to leave this house to Aveline eventually,” Collin declared, feeling a sense of protectiveness wash over him.

Collin couldn’t help but scoff at Jacob’s audacity. “You must be out of your mind if you think I’ll buy into your pathetic excuses. You’re unbelievable,” he spat, his anger boiling over. “You’re a worthless man. Without my daughter, you’d be nothing but a beggar on the street.”

Jacob’s expression darkened, his irritation evident. “Dad, Bethany would be devastated to hear you speak to me like this. She loved me more than anyone else. She would never want you to insult me so.”

Collin’s fury intensified, causing his chest to tighten painfully. “Don’t you dare call me ‘Dad.’ You’ve lost that right,” he hissed through gritted teeth.

“My daughter never even mentioned you before she passed away. The only person she cared about was Aveline. To her, you were insignificant,” he added, his voice dripping with contempt.
