Urging Him to Get a Divorce (Aveline and Xavier) novel Chapter 795

**TITLE: A Divorce 795**

Marcus stood frozen, disbelief etched across his face. “Mom…” he uttered, his voice barely above a whisper, as if he were trying to grasp the reality of the situation unfolding before him.

Lauren, however, was unmoved by her son’s plea. With an air of authority, she turned to the butler, her voice sharp and unwavering. “Get Jacob and Josephine out of here. If they resist, call the police.” The command hung in the air, heavy with finality.

Then, without a hint of hesitation, she directed her gaze back to Marcus. “And you, pack your bags. You’re leaving too.”

Jacob and Josephine exchanged incredulous glances, their expressions a mix of shock and confusion, while Marcus stood there, rendered speechless by the sudden turn of events.

“Are you really going to allow your daughter and son-in-law to be humiliated like this?” Jacob’s voice rose, filled with indignation as he confronted Lauren. The tension in the room escalated, palpable enough to cut through the thick air.

“Don’t you dare call me that,” Lauren replied icily, her eyes narrowing. “I have no in-laws like you. It’s no wonder Aveline has disowned you as a father. You’re utterly shameless.” The words dripped with disdain, leaving Jacob momentarily stunned, as if he had been struck.

In a desperate bid for understanding, Marcus rushed over to Leona, his voice urgent. “Leona, they’ve framed me. You have to believe me!”

Lauren shot him a frosty glare, her patience thinning, and she ushered Leona upstairs, away from the escalating chaos.

Meanwhile, Josephine, her voice trembling with desperation, shouted, “Leona, if my life is ruined, I swear I’ll ruin yours too!” The threat hung in the air, heavy with the weight of her emotions.

“Lauren, I saved Xav’s life!” Josephine continued, her tone rising in fervor. “If you treat me like this, I promise you’ll pay dearly. I’ll hold a press conference and expose how you betrayed me!”

Leona paused, her heart racing at the thought of the fallout, but Lauren’s mind raced ahead. She recalled both Xavier and Rupert insisting that it was indeed Aveline who had saved Xavier. With renewed determination, she held Leona back, not allowing her to turn around.

“Go ahead,” Lauren said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. “Hold your press conference. Let’s see who believes you. You’ll just become a laughingstock.” With that, she firmly pulled Leona upstairs, leaving the chaos behind.

Marcus, refusing to be left out, hurried after them, his heart pounding with urgency.

Aunt, having trailed behind, hadn’t anticipated Lauren’s fierce decisiveness. She caught up with them on the stairs, her voice laced with concern. “Is this really wise? This could lead to a massive scandal. It’ll be a complete humiliation for everyone involved.”

Lauren, already weary of her aunt’s lack of support, shot her a cold look. “If you’re so terrified of humiliation, then you can pay the five hundred million.”

Aunt choked on her words, disbelief washing over her. “Where on earth would I find that kind of money?”

Lauren scoffed, dismissing her aunt’s concerns, and continued to guide Leona into her room.

Marcus, still pleading with Leona, was met with Lauren’s firm resolve. “You’re not to respond to him, Leona. Stay here and calm down. Do not leave this room, and do not see him.”
