Urging Him to Get a Divorce (Aveline and Xavier) novel Chapter 796

**TITLE: A Divorce 796**

Even if Jacob had remained silent, Josephine had already made up her mind to call Courtney. The thought of organizing a press conference swirled in her mind like a storm, a whirlwind of emotions pushing her toward action. She felt a mix of dread and determination—this was her life, and she needed to take control.

At noon, Aveline and Xavier found themselves seated around a polished table in a private dining room, sharing a meal with the three elders. The atmosphere was warm, filled with the soft murmur of conversation and the clinking of cutlery. Suddenly, Amy approached Xavier, her expression serious as she leaned in closer.

“Mr. Beltran,” she whispered, glancing around to ensure no one else could hear. “That Anderson guy has shown up at Mount Ardwood.”

Xavier’s brow furrowed at this news. He excused himself politely and moved to the sofa in the corner of the room, where Amy awaited him, her eyes filled with urgency.

“Our people are tracking him,” Amy continued, her voice barely above a whisper. “He seems to be heading straight for Sunset Hills Estate.”

Xavier’s mind raced. “And what about the hospital?” he asked, recalling the earlier reports.

“Arthur visited the hospital today,” Amy replied, her tone grave. “He was accompanied by the second young master. Mrs. Beltran, however, arrived later.”

Xavier considered this carefully. “So, Mrs. Beltran likely went to the hospital after meeting with Stephen Anderson,” he mused, piecing the puzzle together.

“The hospital records indicate it was just indigestion,” Amy added, but there was an unmistakable tension in her voice.

Xavier paused, his thoughts swirling. “But who is Stephen planning to see at Sunset Hills Estate?”

Amy fell silent, uncertainty clouding her features. It could be Josephine, or perhaps it was Aunt—either possibility sent a shiver down her spine.

Xavier’s gaze flickered toward Aveline, who was engrossed in her meal. “It’s time to uncover what this Anderson character is really up to,” he declared, his voice firm.

Returning to the dining table, he addressed Aveline with a hint of urgency. “That Anderson guy is at Mount Ardwood. I need to meet him. You stay here with my grandpa and your maternal grandparents. I’ll have two bodyguards stay with you for your safety.”

Aveline raised an eyebrow, her tone cool and composed. “He did buy Josephine a villa, after all. I can see why you’d want to confront him.”

Xavier studied her for a moment, a playful smile creeping onto his lips. “You don’t really mean that, do you?”

As he spoke, he reached under the table and gently squeezed her hand, seeking a connection.

Aveline shot him a glare, quickly retracting her hand as if he had burned her.

Unfazed, Xavier informed the elders that he had urgent matters to attend to and would be leaving.

The three elders nodded in understanding, not giving it much thought. Collin and Paulina assumed he had business to handle, while Rupert, having overheard Amy’s earlier conversation about the Anderson arrival, had a vague idea of the brewing storm.
