Wake Up Leave The Liar novel Chapter 154

Chapter 132

Ashley went to the restroom. When she got out, she ran into Chase. He didn’t speak, perhaps unsure what to say. Ashley was about to pass him, but then she stopped. “When are we officially getting the divorce certificate?” She knew he was eager to finalize it, for the sake of Tanya. She didn’t want to ask him about it, but enough time had passed…

Chase said, “In a while.”

‘No specific date?

TII let you know.”

As she was leaving, Chase said, “Grandma knows we’re divorcing.”

“Good,” Ashley replied. At least she wouldn’t be pressured anymore, nor would she have to pretend that she was still Chase’s wife.

“Mm-hm.”

They walked in silence. Someone ran around a corner, bumping into Ashley. She stumbled against Chase, who instinctively steadied her. The guy apologized and rushed into the restroom. Ashley returned to the private room long after Jeffery. Having nearly finished their meal, they left the restaurant. Jeffery returned to his company to prepare documents, while Ashley and Tim went back to Eternal.

Around 3:30 PM, Zark arrived at Eternal, almost simultaneously with Jeffery. They’d had dinner together during the Speed autonomous vehicle tests. Jeffery greeted him, “Mr. Green, you’re collaborating with Eternal, too?”

Yes. So, you’re going to sign the contract, Mr. Cooper?”

Yes.’

Zark was surprised. Tim had rejected Jeffery at the gala: He wondered…

Ashley and Tim arrived at the conference room. Tim was not fond of Zark or Jeffery, and he only smiled to Ashley. He assigned Ashley to negotiate with Zark, handling Jeffery himself. Jeffery didn’t mind the arrangement, but Zark…

Zark smiled. It’s my pleasure, Ms. Jones.”

Mr. Green, this way, please.”

Ashley engaged in technical discussions with Zark’s team. As evening approached, they concluded their meeting.

Zark suggested dinner. Ashley said,’I have something to do. I’m gonna ask Tim…”
