Chapter 131
Ashley’s calm demeanor suggested she’d anticipated the collaboration. Jeffery assumed Tim had informed her beforehand.
“Yeah,” he said curtly.

At the restaurant, as Ashley and Tim were about to head upstairs, Jeffery spotted Chase and Tanya coming in from another side. He stopped to greet them. “Mr. Sterling, Miss Mond.”
Chase and Tanya saw them too. Chase greeted them, “Mr. Cooper, Mr. Reed.”
Tim offered a strained smile. “Mr. Sterling, hello.” Without waiting for a reply, he said, “We’ll leave you to it.” He and Ashley entered the elevator.
Jeffery had noticed Tim’s dislike for Chase at their previous encounter at Speed. This time, Tim made no effort to hide it, which surprised Jeffery. He didn’t know the source of their animosity, but Chase seemed quite amiable towards Tim…
Chase and Tanya watched Tim and Ashley leave.
Tanya asked, “Mr. Cooper, are you having dinner with Mr. Reed? Did you finalize the contract?”
Jeffery smiled. “Yes.”
Tanya knew their previous collaboration attempt had failed because Jeffery had offended Ashley. Tim’s initial stance had been unwavering, and she had expected Jeffery to lose the deal, too. Yet, he succeeded. This suggested that even though Ashley was important to Tim, Tim would prioritize his own interests when faced with a significant opportunity. Did that mean Ashley wasn’t as crucial to Tim as she’d thought?
A smile touched Tanya’s lips.”Congratulations.”
Jeffery chuckled. Thank you.” He then turned to Chase. “Mr. Sterling, I’m interested in one of your projects. Are you free to chat soon?”
Chase replied smoothly, “I’m free these days. Feel free to reach out anytime.”
Jeffery nodded, parted ways with them, and went to his private room. Tim and Ashley were already ordering when he entered.
Tim commented, “Oh, Mr. Cooper, finished chatting?”
Jeffery sat down, distancing himself from Ashley. He asked casually, “Is there friction between you and Mr. Sterling?”
Tim smirked. No, we have a vendetta.”
Jeffery knew he didn’t want to elaborate and didn’t press further. Seeing them ordering, he said politely, “This is on me. Order whatever you like.”
Tim didn’t look up.”We know. We were ready to feast.”
Jeffery’s eyebrow twitched.
After they ordered, Jeffery casually ordered two dishes and began discussing business with Tim. The dishes started arriving.
Tim’s words turned out to be less of a joke than Jeffery thought. The table was overflowing with the most expensive dishes on the menu, and Jeffery felt a headache coming on.
