Wake Up Leave The Liar novel Chapter 158

Chapter 136

Mary and Miranda nodded, understanding.

They knew about Eternal’s projects; the Monds had also tried to collaborate with Eternal but failed because of Ashley.

They naturally resented her. But they could understand Zark’s attitude towards Ashley and Amanda.

Ruby whispered to her grandmother, “Mr. Reed really cares about Ashley.” She found it irritating.

Mary smiled unconcernedly. Ashley and Tim’s relationship wouldn’t last. Once Chase divorced her, she would be a divorced woman with a child; the Reeds wouldn’t accept her.

Catherine arrived. She wasn’t interested in the exhibition, but she hadn’t seen Zark in a while. Hearing that he’d be there from Tanya, she dressed up

and came.

After greeting her family and Ethan, she saw Zark talking to Ashley.

Her eyes widened. “Why is Zark talking to that woman?”

Before Ethan could respond, she started towards them. Vivian stopped her.”They’re talking about business.”

‘Business?”

Yes.”

Catherine huffed, suppressing her displeasure, but kept watching them. Ashley, in a winter dress, was striking. She and Zark looked surprisingly well-matched. Even though Catherine didn’t think Zark would fall for Ashley, it bothered her.

She tugged Ethan’s sleeve. “Ethan, what are they talking about? They’ve been chatting for so long.” Her feelings for Zark were hardly a secret.

Ethan knew Zark didn’t like her type. He smiled, “Just socializing.”

“Can’t they talk during work hours?”

Ethan didn’t want to waste his time ton her. He wanted to go inside for tea, but Zark hadn’t returned.

Chase and Tanya finally arrived. Ethan waved them over. Seeing them, the Monds and Holdens beamed.”Chase, Tanya, you’re finally here!”

Chase nodded, then saw Ashley and Zark. The Monds and Holdens waited for his reaction, but he looked away and said, “I’ll go say hello to them.”

Mary and Vivian exchanged glances.

Chase left. Tanya smiled.”Chase’s grandma is close to them. Even though they’re getting divorced, he can’t openly feud with them.” A simple greeting

was necessary.

Mary felt relieved. They’d thought…

Tanya glanced at them before looking away calmly. Ashley was facing Mark. Seeing that Chase was coming over, she frowned.
