“Zark!” Catherine chirped, her voice sugary sweet.

Zark greeted her with a curt nod.

Seeing Chase looking for Tanya, Vivian said, Tanya received a call and will be back soon.”

“Okay, Chase said.

A stir went through the crowd. Vincent was emerging from the inner room, accompanied by David, Matt, and other family members.

After the crowd quieted, Vincent expressed his gratitude. Ashley and Tim were standing towards the back, but David noticed them. He knew Tim was there representing his family, but he didn’t expect Ashley to be here, too. He smiled and nodded at her.

Only then was Ashley aware of David’s connection to Vincent. She smiled back at David. The Monds and Holdens saw David greeting someone but didn’t know who.

Following Vincent’s speech, thunderous applause filled the hall. Guests approached Vincent to talk about his works, and many greeted David.

After a while, Zark, Chase, and Jeffery approached Vincent, presenting gifts.

David smiled, then shook hands with Amanda after learning she was Ashley’s grandma. Knowing her fondness for his father’s paintings, he said, “If you wouldn’t mind, please join us later. There are a lot of people here, but few truly appreciate art. He’ll be happy to know there’s someone here who

understands him.”

David had come specifically to speak with Ashley, but it appeared to others as a casual encounter during his rounds. They assumed he was doing this for

the sake of the Reeds.

While chatting with Vincent, Chase’s phone rang. He excused himself to take the call. Tanya returned after finishing her own call.

Tanya, striking in appearance and demeanor, moved through the crowd and joined Jeffery and Zark. Vincent, impressed by her presence, assumed she was the girlfriend of Zark or Jeffery. Before he could ask, Jeffery said, “Mr. Adler, this is Tanya Mond. She’s Mr. Sterling’s girlfriend.”

‘Oh, Chase’s girlfriend,” Vincent chuckled.”A fine match.”

Tanya responded politely, “Thank you, Mr. Adler.”
