Chapter 348
To keep up appearances, Tanya did her best to act normal, actively joining the conversation with Chase, Zark, and Ethan.
That evening, when Tanya got home, Catherine and Mary were sitting on the sofa chatting.
Seeing her come in, Catherine, munching on watermelon, turned her head and asked, “Tanya, has Emily woken up yet?”
Tanya shook her head. “Not yet.”
Oh? Do they know when shell wake up?”
Tanya shook her head.
At that, both Catherine and Yonnie frowned.
They had already found out about Emily’s sudden collapse not long after she was admitted to the ER.
And Chase, due to Emily’s condition, had decided to postpone his divorce from Ashley for a few days, telling Tanya about it almost immediately.
To many, divorce isn’t seen as a good thing, and with Emily so gravely ill, it really wouldn’t look good if Chase and Ashley were still rushing to divorce.
So, when Chase decided to postpone his divorce from Ashley for a few days, everyone could actually understand why.
Still, understanding aside, they weren’t exactly thrilled.
After all, if Emily hadn’t had this accident, Chase and Ashley could have smoothly divorced in just a couple of days after he wrapped things up.
Now that Emily still hadn’t woken up, no one knew when Chase and Ashley’s divorce would actually happen.
Ruby, however, wasn’t in any rush. She lightly tapped her daughter’s head and chuckled, “Look, whether Emily wakes up or not, or when she does, considering Chase’s feelings for Tanya, their marriage is inevitable. Emily’s accident is just a minor bump in the road; good things take time. You, on the other hand, are getting all worked up for no reason.”
Catherine blinked and smiled, “Yeah, you’re right.”
Then she scoffed again, I’m just pissed that Ashley, that bitch, is still clinging to the title of Chase’s wife.”
Before, whenever people brought this up, Tanya would just carry on, completely unfazed, like she wasn’t worried at all about anything changing between her and Chase.
But now.
Listening to Ruby and Catherine talk, she lowered her eyes, didn’t say a word, and only after they finished speaking, she said softly, “I’m a bit tired. I’m going upstairs.”
Catherine and the others didn’t notice anything off about her. Hearing her say she was tired, they happily said, “Okay, Tanya, good night.” Vivian, however, noticed her daughter looked a bit off.
A few days ago, after Tanya overheard some “truths” about Ashley in the parking lot, Vivian noticed Tanya was a bit off. But Tanya kept quiet, and Vivian didn’t press it. Besides, Vivian had an urgent matter that took her back to her hometown, so she hadn’t really kept up with Tanya’s recent state and still had no clue what was going on.
Seeing Tanya’s troubled look, she just figured Tanya was tired and didn’t give it another thought.
Meanwhile.
