When Ashley left the company and got back to the Jones Family home, Sam wasn’t there.

Word was, she was back to be with Chase.

Emily’s condition was pretty dire, and Ashley, worried sick, made sure to visit her at the hospital every morning for the next few days.

Whenever Ashley went to the hospital, sometimes Chase would be there, other times it would be Lily and Linda.

Lily might not have liked the idea of Ashley as her daughter-in-law, but whenever Ashley came to visit Emily, Lily would still offer a polite thank

you.

Linda wasn’t fond of Ashley either, but knowing Chase and Ashley were genuinely headed for divorce, she figured there was no point in saying anything more. So, in their recent encounters, she kept any unpleasant remarks to herself.

One morning, when Ashley arrived at the hospital to check on Emily, Linda, Chase, Jake were all there, along with Lily.

“No need, she replied. Then, without a backward glance, she walked away.

Chase, seeing her reaction, didn’t push it.

Linda had been out of town lately, and before Emily’s incident, she hadn’t actually seen Ashley for quite a while.

Seeing Ashley walk away without a backward glance, showing no lingering attachment to Chase, she turned back and said, “It looks like she’s truly moved on from you.”

Chase smiled. Before he could say anything, his phone rang.

After leaving the hospital, Ashley went straight to Sterling Corp.

When the elevator reached the ground floor, they ran right into Tanya, who was walking towards it.

Hearing everyone warmly greet her, she gave a faint smile and a polite nod, then walked past Ashley and the others into the elevator.

A moment later, she went straight to the top floor.

Eldric and Jackson saw her and greeted her politely, “Ms. Mond.”

Tanya responded with a faint smile and a nod.

Arriving at Chase’s office, she knocked before entering.

Seeing Chase busy in his office, a genuine smile appeared on her face.”Still not done yet?”

Chase looked up.”Not yet.”

Though he’d been back in Belfort for several days, today was his first time showing up at Sterling Corp.

He’d been busy with other things before that.

Tanya smiled and walked over. Seeing what looked like an invitation in his hand, she leaned in curiously and asked, “What’s this?”
