Wake Up Leave The Liar novel Chapter 434

Chapter 412

Tanya, mid-sip of her Bird’s Nest Soup, froze at Catherine’s words.

But she quickly recovered, and no one else seemed to notice.

Tanya, Chase is back? Mark asked.

Tanya’s lashes fluttered.

Could she really say she had no clue Chase was back?

Chase… he hadn’t even told her.

She’d called him today, and he never picked up. She’d just figured he was busy

Before she could even respond, Mark continued, a smile on his face.”We really owe Chase for what happened last time. I’ve been meaning to invite him over for dinner, but you said he was on a business trip abroad, so I held off. Now that he’s back, why don’t you ask him when he’s free?”

Miranda nodded along.”Exactly. We absolutely need to have Chase over for dinner.”

Tanya snapped out of it, forcing a smile.”Okay, got it. I’ll talk to Chase later.”

After that, the conversation quickly shifted.

No one else from the Holden or Mond families gave a second thought to what Catherine had said about Chase and Ashley going out together.

They figured Chase was still the same old Chase, completely oblivious to Ashley, and would never, ever fall for her.

So, when they heard Chase and Ashley had gone out, they automatically assumed it was about Sam, and that Chase had already briefed Tanya on it.

Tanya knew exactly what they were thinking.

She used to think the same way, which was why she’d never given Ashley a second thought.

But now

Tanya couldn’t taste a thing. She put down her bowl and stood up.”I’m going upstairs.”

Vivian had noticed Tanya looked off ever since she came in, so she’d specifically had someone prepare a restorative tonic for her. Seeing Tanya hadn’t even finished the small bowl of Bird’s Nest Soup, Vivian said, “Tanya, want a little more?”

Tanya shook her head.”I can’t.”

With that, she turned and headed upstairs.

As soon as she got upstairs, she called Chase.

It rang, but no one picked up.

Tanya’s hand, clutching her phone, slowly tightened.

After the call went to voicemail, she almost called Sam, but after a moment of thought, she held back.

Meanwhile.

Ashley and Chase had already arrived at the brand store to buy the drum kit.

Someone must have called ahead, because as soon as they arrived, a staff member came out to greet them.”Mr. and Mrs. Sterling? Please, come right in.”

Ashley faltered when she heard “Mr. and Mrs. Sterling.” Chase, however, just nodded. Noticing her pause, he turned to her.”Come on in,” he said.

Before Ashley could even react, Sam’s eyes had already locked onto the insane, high-end drum kits inside. He practically yanked her hand, pulling her in, totally pumped.

No price tags on any of the drum kits. Ashley wasn’t an instrument expert, but the high-end decor and the drums’ pristine quality screamed it: every kit

here cost a fortune.
