Those words weren’t for her. Chase had never hugged her to sleep or given her a good morning kiss. He must had mistaken her for Tanya.

Tears welled up in Ashley’s eyes. Chase didn’t wake up. She suppressed her emotions, taking a deep breath, and gently moved away.

Chase came down and sat beside Ashley. Remembering what happened this morning, she moved slightly away.

Sam, eating noodles, looked at Chase.”Dad likes sleeping with Mom too?”

Ashley, who was drinking soup, choked. Chase didn’t answer. Ashley blushed, feeling awkward.

Emily was happy to hear that.”Why do you say that?”

“When I woke up and went to Mom’s room, I saw Mom in Dad’s arms…”

Chase calmly said, “I’m busy.” Ashley wasn’t surprised; he was always busy with her. He always had time for Tanya.

Emily asked me to bring them to you guys.”

Emily and Amanda hadn’t been close since Ashley and Chase’s marriage.
