Wake Up Leave The Liar novel Chapter 74

Chapter 51

At 7 pm, Zark boarded the yacht. Chase and the others were already there. Ethan waved at him.

Seeing Betty, Ethan smiled. “This must be Betty. Hello, I’m your uncle’s friend, Ethan…”

There were many people, Betty was a bit shy.

As Ethan introduced himself, Tanya and Sam approached. Seeing them, Zark paused.

Knowing Betty was shy, Sam introduced himself and said, “There are many kids; want to join them?”

Betty looked at Zark; after he nodded, she went with Sam. After they left, Ethan asked, “First time being an uncle, huh? How is it?”

“Not bad. Betty was a good girl.

Chase offered Zark a drink.”Want some?”

Zark looked at Chase, pausing before accepting the drink. Thank you.” They clinked glasses and chatted. Chase looked at him intently.

Zark raised his eyebrow, asking, “What?”

Ethan said, “You seem… off today.”

Chase smiled slightly, agreeing with that. Zark calmly said, “Do I?”

Ethan raised an eyebrow.”Don’t you?”

Zark took a sip of wine, saying nothing. Someone approached to greet them.

After they left, Zark checked the time, wondering if Betty was hungry. Before he went to find Betty, she and Sam returned.

Betty asked, “Uncle, can I have that cupcake?”

Zark knew that Betty was allergic to a lot of food. He said, “Stay here; I’ll get it.”

“Okay.”

Sam, however, got his own food and asked Chase,”Dad, you want some?”

Chase ruffled his hair. I’m good.”

The children sat and ate; Tanya shared her food with Sam. Sam happily said, “Thank you,

Aunt Tanya.”

Betty looked at Tanya, asking, “Sam, isn’t this aunt your mom?”

The hall fell silent. Sam paused, shaking his head, “No.”

Betty cautiously asked, ‘Don’t you have a mom?”

Sam nodded. “Yes, I do.”

‘Oh…’

They were given souvenirs; Betty liked the crystal keychains and took away all two of them. Sam liked them too. Seeing Betty take both, he asked, “Betty, can I have one? I want to send one to Aunt Tanya.”

Betty hesitated, “I… want to send one to my aunt…” She added, “Uncle Zark and Auntie took me to fly a kite, fish, ride bikes, and chase butterflies… Auntie is pretty; she’ll like this enchain…”

Hearing that, Tanya, Ethan, and Chase all looked at Zark.

Ethan immediately said, “Zark, what’s going on? You’ve got a girlfriend? Chase, look at him!”

Chase smiled, watching Zark.

Zark calmly said, “It was a coincidence.”

“Really?” Ethan didn’t believe him.”So you had lunch with her? No wonder you’ve suddenly become a master at babysitting! You had help!”

Many

Zark remained silent. Chase looked at him “You seem interested in her.”

Zark paused but didn’t deny it. Tanya was stunned; her smile faded.

“No way. Is that true?” Ethan, who’d been joking, was surprised. He asked, “Who is she? Do we know her? Why didn’t you introduce her to us?” Zark didn’t answer; Ethan thought he didn’t want to talk about it yet. He knelt and asked Betty, “Betty, how many times have you seen the aunt you had lunch with? Do you know her name?”

Zark’s grip on his glass tightened. “Ethan!”
