When Tyler got back to his own house, he was still fuming.
He was angry about making a fool of himself the night before, but even angrier that Athena wanted to break up.
He’d always thought Athena loved him most, that no matter what lines he crossed, she’d always forgive him. But ever since they got together, he’d started to feel deeply uneasy, like Athena was hiding something big behind that calm exterior.
Still, he’d never tried to dig into her past—snooping around would only make it look like he cared too much.
His face darkened. He snapped at the housekeeper standing nearby.
“Pack up all of Athena’s things and toss them in the trash. And from now on, don’t ever let her set foot in here again.”
The staff glanced at each other in confusion. Tyler and Athena had seemed perfectly fine all week—what on earth had happened? Most of them thought Tyler had finally found “the one.” Guess not.
But nobody dared to question him. They just got to work.
Within ten minutes, Athena’s few pitiful belongings were wheeled out into the foyer.
Tyler glanced at the tiny suitcase and realized it was absurdly small—nothing like what you’d bring if you were planning to move in. It felt more like she’d just come for a weekend getaway. A very short one.
“Tyler, do you really want us to throw all this out?” one of the staff asked, hesitating.
The longer he looked at that suitcase, the more irritated he became.
“Throw it out. I never want to see her stuff again!”
The housekeeper nodded and started toward the door, but before they’d even left the living room, Tyler’s voice rang out.
“Wait. Hold on. I’ll call her and ask if she wants any of it.”
They stopped.
Tyler figured, at the very least, it was an excuse to call her. He quickly hit her number.
This time, though, Athena had blocked him. All he got was the cold, dead line.
He tried messaging her on every other app he could think of, but it was no use—she’d already deleted him everywhere.
He hadn’t expected Athena to be so ruthless. He hadn’t even made up his mind about breaking up, and she’d already cut him off completely.
Frustration boiling over, he glanced at the staff, who were still lingering with the suitcase. He waved them off, impatient.
“Just get rid of it!”
No one dared ask again.
“You and Athena haven’t made up yet?”
Just hearing her name made Tyler’s jaw clench. If Bert hadn’t egged him on that night, would he have said all those stupid, hurtful things? Would he have tossed that watch to some random woman?
Bert raised his hands in surrender, laughing. “Still blaming me? Fine, it’s my fault. I just thought you didn’t care about her. Who knew you’d be moping around like this? You look like a lovesick puppy these days, man. That’s not you.”
Tyler shoved his arm off.
“Shut up. Thanks to you, I’m single again.”
“Come on, man. Women need a little time to cool off. Besides, she chased after you for so long—no way she’s letting you go now. I bet she’s just waiting for you to reach out first.”
Tyler frowned. “You sure about that?”
Ever since he’d started dating Athena, he’d had this nagging feeling, like she was looking right through him at someone else. But that suspicion was so vague, so slippery, he couldn’t pin it down.
“I’m sure. If you want her back, just do something to get her attention.”
Tyler’s eyes narrowed. He reached up and touched the little mole on his nose.
Fine, Athena. You want to block me? Then I’ll get this thing removed, just to make you regret it for the rest of your life.

The readers' comments on the novel: Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja)
Author, would you story about Ryan settling down and another story on Eric regaining his body and memories back from Patrick, and Eric also settling down as I find it so disheartening for him to have gone through what he went through at the research institute, and I'll like for him to get his "golden boy" life back though, not at the detriment of Ian....
When will the author update to finish Beck's story? What about Dylan and Tyler's love lives? Also, I'll like the author to write on Wilma and Elvis ending up together as she was quite persistent in pursuing him. And Shawn's story, Cornelia Sullivan and Omar Casson. Also, a little write-up on Jeff (Ian's assistant) love life, too. Thanks, author for updating....
