No sooner thought than done.
Tyler wasted no time—he booked an appointment with a dermatologist to remove that mole. He’d go first thing tomorrow.
But that mole was Athena’s favorite. If it disappeared, she’d be devastated.
That night, Tyler drank until nearly dawn, stumbling home in a fog. He collapsed onto the living room sofa, hugging a pillow to his chest. No matter how he tossed and turned, sleep wouldn’t come. He had zero desire to set foot in his bedroom.
The villa had always felt empty when it was just him, but tonight the emptiness pressed on him like a weight, suffocating, inescapable.
Finally, he swung his legs off the sofa, grabbed his car keys, and walked out into the night.
By the time he came to his senses, he was parked outside Athena’s apartment building.
He slid down to sit by her door, too ashamed to even knock.
He wasn’t stupid. What happened the other day would have cut anyone to the bone. If he were in her shoes, he’d never forgive himself either.
Leaning against the wall, Tyler drifted off right there in the hallway.
Morning arrived. When Athena opened her door, a body tumbled inside. She nearly screamed.
Tyler jolted awake, realizing, through a haze of last night’s liquor, that he’d somehow ended up at her place.
He scrambled upright, one hand pressed over his stomach. “My stomach hurts. I’m starving.”
Athena frowned, ignoring him.
She was on her way out to buy groceries anyway.
Tyler hurried after her. “Athena, I said my stomach hurts.”
She entered the supermarket, grabbed a basket, and began picking through the produce.
He repeated himself several times, insisting his stomach was killing him. She didn’t even glance his way. Finally, humiliated, he fell silent.
How had it come to this? He’d never been so thoroughly ignored in his life.
When Athena got to the checkout, Tyler quickly flashed his phone at the cashier. “I’ll pay.”
The cashier looked to Athena, saw she didn’t object, and rang up his purchase.
Tyler was used to strolling through luxury boutiques with his dates, dropping hundreds of thousands on whatever caught their eye—no questions asked. But racing to pay for groceries in a supermarket? That was a first.
The unfamiliarity of it all left him strangely unsettled. He took the bags from Athena’s hands and silently followed her up to her apartment.

The readers' comments on the novel: Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja)
Author, would you story about Ryan settling down and another story on Eric regaining his body and memories back from Patrick, and Eric also settling down as I find it so disheartening for him to have gone through what he went through at the research institute, and I'll like for him to get his "golden boy" life back though, not at the detriment of Ian....
When will the author update to finish Beck's story? What about Dylan and Tyler's love lives? Also, I'll like the author to write on Wilma and Elvis ending up together as she was quite persistent in pursuing him. And Shawn's story, Cornelia Sullivan and Omar Casson. Also, a little write-up on Jeff (Ian's assistant) love life, too. Thanks, author for updating....
When will get update?...
What is wrong that the author has not updated this novel in over a month or is there somewhere else that I can continue reading the novel from chapter 1951 upwards? Do tell, please. Thanks....
