The police arrived swiftly, piecing together the tragic puzzle from the surveillance footage. It showed a small car hitting a man, and then, to everyone's horror, a truck followed, running over him. The poor man got caught under the truck, dragged for miles until a car behind noticed the trail of blood and desperately signaled the truck driver to stop.
The truck driver was in shock, fearing he had been the one to cause the accident. It was only upon seeing the police footage that he breathed a sigh of relief, realizing he wasn't the primary cause, though he still bore some responsibility.
Efforts were quickly made to contact the deceased man's family, but there was nothing on him to identify them. The police, at a loss, aired a report on television, displaying the clothes the man had been wearing.
Meanwhile, Lindsay was still searching for her brother. The sky was a dull gray, mirroring the unease in her heart as she feared the worst.
Two hours later, news finally came through a report about an unidentified man who had been fatally hit. Lindsay felt her world tilt as she recognized those clothes—they belonged to her brother, the ones she had bought for him.
"Where is he? I need to see him! I need to see him!" she demanded, her voice rising to a hysterical pitch, nearly fainting from the shock. Somehow, she held on to the last threads of her composure until she was taken to where her brother lay.
His body was in the hospital morgue, and she was told that aside from his head, there wasn’t a single part of him that was unscathed.
One glance, and Lindsay fainted.
Tyler, caught off guard, rushed her to the emergency room.
Lindsay drifted into a long, vivid dream. She was back in high school, bullied and seeking comfort from her parents, only to be told it takes two to tango.
In her darkest moment, her simple-minded brother had appeared beside her, offering a lollipop—his favorite treat. His eyes had sparkled with innocence as he called her, "Sis."
Lindsay had always resented her brother, blaming him for her misfortunes, thinking that if he were gone, she wouldn’t have to do so much housework or wash his clothes.

The readers' comments on the novel: Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja)
Author, would you story about Ryan settling down and another story on Eric regaining his body and memories back from Patrick, and Eric also settling down as I find it so disheartening for him to have gone through what he went through at the research institute, and I'll like for him to get his "golden boy" life back though, not at the detriment of Ian....
When will the author update to finish Beck's story? What about Dylan and Tyler's love lives? Also, I'll like the author to write on Wilma and Elvis ending up together as she was quite persistent in pursuing him. And Shawn's story, Cornelia Sullivan and Omar Casson. Also, a little write-up on Jeff (Ian's assistant) love life, too. Thanks, author for updating....
