From His Wife to His Uncle's Wife novel Chapter 188

Eleanor tossed the whole meal straight into the trash. It was way too salty, and she knew eating something like that wasn’t good for anyone, especially Max. To make up for it, she left a little note for him on the dining table, along with a carton of milk and a small pastry.

Sorry, Mr. Clarkson. I wasn’t really myself while cooking today and totally messed up. I threw everything out, but if you’re hungry when you get home, you can have this for now.

When Max got back, the first thing he noticed was her note. A small smile played at his lips as he carefully tucked it away in his study drawer.

Then he picked up his phone and made a call. “I need you to put together a medical report for me. Make sure it mentions sexual dysfunction.”

His assistant paused, clearly confused. “Excuse me?”

“Just do it. Thank you.”

Marleigh had her driver take her to Tim’s place. She thought inviting Eleanor out again herself would seem too obvious. Luckily, she was already good friends with Tim and his wife, so she dropped by their house all the time. Lately, she’d been visiting even more, all because of Eleanor.

“Tim, where’s that student of yours?” she asked, sounding casual. “Didn’t you say she got played by some jerk? Why not invite her over for dinner this weekend?”

Tim just thought she was being nice. “I was planning to, but I haven’t called her yet.”

“Well, call her now,” Marleigh urged, not even trying to hide her impatience.

Tim shot her a look. “Do you need something from her?”

“No, nothing.” Marleigh just smiled, acting innocent.

She only relaxed after Tim made the call and confirmed everything. She couldn’t believe she was going through all this stress for Max. Honestly, she felt a little awkward, especially since this was the first she’d heard about his… issue.

“Tim, can I talk to you in private?” she asked.

Tim glanced at his wife, who quickly excused herself and went upstairs to tidy up, leaving them alone.

Meanwhile, Max had no idea he was about to get ambushed with a surprise doctor’s visit.

By the time Eleanor visited Tim’s house for the third time, she was way more comfortable. She just brought a little fruit, nothing fancy.

Laura, Tim’s wife, spotted the fruit and pretended to scold her. “Really, you bought more? If you keep this up, we won’t invite you anymore.”

Eleanor just laughed. “It’s just some fruit, Laura. Please, take it.”

Tim was in the kitchen, cooking up a storm, and Eleanor noticed there were other guests too.

“Nate, this is Eleanor, my student,” Tim said. “She’s brilliant at research. You two should chat.”
