From His Wife to His Uncle's Wife novel Chapter 225

Grant hadn’t found the right moment to throw a punch, so he settled for running his mouth instead.

“Jared, Mr. Terry’s telling us our punishment today. Think you’ll get transferred to another class?”

Getting Jared transferred was a promise Grant’s dad had made to him. They were in the honors class, and Grant was determined to have Jared sent down to the regular one.

Jared just shrugged, cool as ever. “Doesn’t matter what class I’m in. I’ll still beat you on every test.”

That hit a nerve. Grant’s face twisted in anger. “Seriously? You really think you’re something? Maybe check your grades before you talk big.”

Jared smirked. Eleanor had called it—Grant was all bark and no bite. From now on, Jared would make sure to outscore him every time. That was the bare minimum he expected from himself.

Before Grant could blow up, Ms. Truman called him to the office.

“Grant, we’ve made a decision about your punishment.”

Grant frowned, confused. “Ms. Truman, why’d you call me in alone? Don’t tell me I’m the one getting punished.”

Ms. Truman met his eyes, her gaze steady. “The whole school will hear about this tomorrow. After reviewing everything, the school board decided we care about character just as much as grades. Because you slandered another student’s family, and because of your father’s behavior, the school is reporting this to the education bureau. You’re being expelled.”

She didn’t flinch as she continued. “Your dad’s already been notified. Grant, pack up your things and go home.”

Grant stared at her, stunned. “What? No way. That’s not possible.”

“Ms. Truman, are you out of your mind? Do you even know who my dad is? Or my uncle? Are you trying to lose your job?”

Yeah, that had to be it. The guy his sister hooked up with must have stepped in. Grant hadn’t been wrong—his sister was no innocent.

. . .

Sydney still had no idea what a mess Grant was in. She’d spent the last few days digging into the women around her husband, but none went by the name Rolland. The realization hit her hard. Wesley had hidden his mistress well.

Then her phone rang. “Is this Grant Goff’s mom? Grant left a water bottle at school. If you have time, you can come pick it up.”

Sydney blinked in confusion. “Ms. Truman, that bottle always stays at school for Grant to use. Why would we need to take it home?”

There was a pause on the other end. “Mrs. Goff, you… you didn’t know? Grant’s been expelled.”
