After the third try, Peter finally made his guess. “The first one was Jessie.”

He yanked off his blindfold, looking totally stunned. He wasn’t alone. Everyone else was just as surprised.

Someone tried to lighten the mood. “Looks like Peter’s off his game today. Come on, ladies, be nice, tell him where the shoes are!”

Katie figured it wasn’t a big deal. But Jessie, who had just been bragging about how close they were, was seriously embarrassed in front of everyone. She couldn’t hide her disappointment.
