From His Wife to His Uncle's Wife novel Chapter 363

Over the weekend, Eleanor had company. Yolanda showed up with her arms full of baby stuff.

“Yolanda, come on, you really don’t have to bring more. The baby’s toys already fill up a whole room.”

Yolanda just shrugged. “If one room isn’t enough, use another. Max has this giant villa. Are we really going to let his kid feel cramped?”

The two of them spent the afternoon in the home theater, snuggled up with movies and popcorn. But as the credits rolled, Yolanda still wasn’t making a move to leave. Eleanor could tell something was up.

“Yolanda, is something going on? You look like you want to say something.”

Yolanda pouted and fiddled with her sleeve. “It’s my stingy husband. He’s been giving me the cold shoulder, and I don’t even know why.”

The cold shoulder? That didn’t sound like Mr. Sidler at all. He never struck Eleanor as unreasonable.

“Did you guys fight?” she asked.

Yolanda shook her head. “Not exactly. It’s just... remember my ex? The one with the nightmare mom? The guy who came back from overseas with a fiancée?”

“Of course I remember,” Eleanor said. “His mom didn’t approve, and then he went abroad and suddenly had a fiancée.”

“That’s the one,” Yolanda groaned, pressing her fingers to her temples. “I bumped into him at a bridal shop recently. Linden was there too. Anyway, he’s getting married, I’m married, it’s ancient history. I don’t care about him anymore.”

She paused, then added, “But then, three days after my wedding, he sent me a package.”

Eleanor couldn’t help grinning. “Let me guess, he mailed you a box of old stuff?”

Yolanda rolled her eyes. “He did. Every single gift I ever gave him, all sent back. And of course Linden was the one who saw the package.”

She still couldn’t believe Jordan Gates could be so petty. When she’d ended things, she gave back everything he’d ever bought her. But after all these years, he sent all her gifts back, even those old love letters she’d written him when she was young and dumb. He knew exactly what he was doing.
