I Owe the Tyrant Four Little Heirs novel Chapter 178

Niamh spun around and glared at him, a sharp retort on the tip of her tongue. She desperately wanted to tell him to never come to her house again. Him sleeping in her bed was completely inappropriate.

...

At five-ten, they arrived at the Bragg Manor, an elegant, classical estate that was nothing short of breathtaking. As they entered the living room, an elderly man with graying hair, wearing a brown knit vest, came forward to greet them. It was Jareth’s grandfather, Harlan Bragg, the chairman of the Bragg Group.

"Jareth, you're finally back!" Harlan said, his voice filled with emotion.

"Hmph," Jareth grunted, his tone icy. He refused to even look at the old man.

"Jareth, this must be Ms. Niamh Lynn?" Harlan asked, his excitement palpable.

"Yes," Jareth replied coldly.

"Niamh, please, come in, have a seat," Harlan said warmly, his every word exuding kindness.

Niamh? The use of her first name felt far too familiar. She felt incredibly awkward, standing in the home of the wealthiest man in the city, pretending to be his grandson's girlfriend.

As she sat, Harlan smiled at her gratefully.

"Niamh, thank you for the birthday gift. To be honest, it was the most thoughtful present I've ever received. Very practical, and very warm," he said, gesturing to the vest he was wearing.

"I'm glad you like it, Mr. Chairman," Niamh replied with a smile, adding tactfully, "Mr. Bragg and I picked it out together. He said you would definitely like it."

"Niamh, there's no need to embellish," Jareth cut in, shooting a harsh look at his grandfather.

"Of course not," Harlan said, beaming.

Niamh shot Jareth a look. Couldn't he be a little nicer to his grandfather? The old man seemed so kind and approachable, not at all like a powerful chairman. She wished she had a grandfather like that; Jareth didn't know how lucky he was.

Harlan then took something out of a desk drawer and handed it to Niamh. She opened it to find an acceptance letter to the Cliffhaven University School of Design for the upcoming fall semester. A thrill shot through her.

"Niamh, I know you've done a great service for the company, so this is a little reward from me," Harlan said kindly. "I hope you'll become a valuable partner for Jareth on his journey."

Then, he produced another item, a delicate bracelet, and placed it in her hand.

"This was Jareth's grandmother's favorite. Before she passed, she made me promise to give it to Jareth's wife."
