I Owe the Tyrant Four Little Heirs novel Chapter 52

“Who do you think you are?” Niamh’s voice was low and dangerous. “I’m warning you, Rhoslyn, you’d better not push me. Now get out of my way. I have work to do.”

With a sudden burst of strength, Niamh shoved Rhoslyn hard in the chest and grabbed the mop back.

Rhoslyn stumbled back several steps before catching her balance, her eyes burning with hatred. This was not the timid, mousy Niamh from five years ago. Growing up, Niamh had never dared to talk back, no matter how viciously Rhoslyn insulted her. Even when Rhoslyn hit her, she would only cower and hide. Now, she had the audacity to fight back.

“It’s all Dad’s fault,” Rhoslyn fumed. “Why did he have to pick up Niamh from that dumpster?” Just as her mother always complained, they had raised Niamh for nineteen years, gotten nothing in return, and were left with nothing but trouble.

After finishing the conference room, Niamh hurried to leave. As she opened the door, she collided head-on with a man. The mop bucket wobbled, and a splash of dirty water sloshed out, landing directly on the man’s pristine white leather shoes.

Niamh looked up in horror. It was a tall, handsome German man. Behind him stood several other German men and women, with Jareth and Cormac bringing up the rear.

Without a doubt, this was the important client they were expecting.

Niamh’s face went pale. “I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to,” she apologized frantically in perfect German.

The German man, whose name was William, was indeed the head of the client delegation.

Seeing the dirty water on his shoes, Niamh quickly added, still in German, “I’m so sorry, I’ve ruined your shoes. Please, take them off and I’ll have them cleaned for you immediately.”

William just shook his head. “It’s only a little water. It’s no problem at all.”
