Ira’s Pov
That’s their father? They look nothing alike!
Of course, they are not his offsprings. He only raised them, being well aware that they belonged to the white angel.
Lysandra already used my blood to bring him back to life, and he looks like he only has life to last a day more. She indeed loved him, despite the fact that he chose her sister in his first life. I do not understand her obsession with the man. He is nothing more than a werewolf who was once the King of Lordsland.
“How shameless of you to call him your father. You are nothing but a bastard child that your prostitute mother burdened him with,” Lysandra bitterly responds on his behalf, shooting up from her seat. “By now you must have heard all about the injustice that your evil mother committed against me. All the lies she told to be loved by my rightful mate. Then carried on to secretly procreate with the White Angel. I have planned for years to rectify all of your mother’s evils. Your existence have wronged not just me but lord Luminis himself. So you will die in front of him once he is free from the Temple of Shadows. Your mate’s blood will grant my love more life so he can be king once more, with a proper queen who shall bear his true offsprings,” she angrily adds.
I am amused by her crazy thoughts. Her reborn love, Osmund, looks more annoyed by her words than impressed despite his terrible physical state.
It’s good to know that she hasn’t freed Luminis yet. If King Alodias got a chance to hand over the real trumpet to my other mates, then we still have a slim chance of winning this war.
“I find it hilarious that despite your years and knowledge in dark magic you fail to notice that your love loathes being in your presence. It’s embarassing,” I say.
Her face wrinkle to form a frown. She looks back at the man she left on the seat and he only sighs.
“You’re lucky you’re more important to me alive, otherwise I would rip you apart like those dead things!” she snarls, pointing at the table with pieces of human flesh.
It’s funny that she doesn’t notice that even her mate is disgusted with her. She may have given him another chance at life, but he will desire a different queen.
“Your father has served me for a long time. But his blood has lost it’s charm lately. Couldn’t even control a dozen dragons,” she informs.
“Can yours do it?” I scoff in anger. Hopefully she didn’t kill him because his blood was no longer useful. The chances that she has kept him alive are slim though.
“Utter another disrespectful word and I will have him slaughtered just like those slaves I brought by my loyal followers,” she warns.
So he is alive. She however killed my mother and drained her blood. I will kill her as doonl get a chance.
“You brought me the trumpet, how stupid of you,” she laughs at the sight of the trumpet in Adon’s hands. “Hand it over,” she demands.
Angel Adon doesn’t hesitate as he tosses the trumpet to her.
“I expected more fight from you. Clearly you inherited nothing of value from your father,” she mocks.
The angel says nothing in return.
“My cave will drain all the little powers you have left. You’re my slave now,” she hissed. “Lock them up with the Levitt!” she orders her coven.
“Your old appearance was of no use, to you or me. Now you look like the Princess of Levitts, the most precious woman,” Lysandra says and I nearly collapse with shock.
“No! No… this is not what we agreed! I wanted to be as precious as her, not look like her copy!” I scream in horror, gaping at the reflection that I have now realized that’s it’s mine.
“It’s already done. Calm yourself so I can inform you of your purpose!” the witch snaps.
My entire body shakes with the fear of her. I watched her and her coven slaughter many slaves brought to her by her followers to please the dark spirits that grants her powers. I do not like what she has done to me, but I would hate to head up in pieces like the dead slaves even more.
“Y… yes… M’lady,” I stutter in a voice lower than a whisper.
“Good,” she says despite my evident fear and disappointment. “Now listen, lord Luminis have granted me powers for a long time to fight my enemies, but only so I would free him from the temple of shadows. Once he is free he will want to reign over all kingdoms, to take away what he promised me and my love Osmund. He will want the Princess of Levitts for himself as she possesses the blood that can make him more powerful than his brother. I made you look like her so that you will go to him and he will think that he has her. If he turns against me I can cast a spell to imprison him again with her blood,” she explains.
I am both scared and excited at the same time. I will be the apple of lord Luminis’s eyes if he will believe that I am the Princess of Levitts. He may also kill me if he realises that it’s a lie.
“Can I see the captured king before we leave” I ask.
