Sylvara's Rebirth: A New Dawn for Abel novel Chapter 31

**Chapter 31: The Banana Blockade**

Sylvara nodded with determination, her gaze unwavering. “Absolutely, Aslan. Just as you mentioned, the head of the Agriculture Department is truly remarkable. A great teacher lays the foundation for success. To leave a lasting impression, I’ve made up my mind to gather some seeds and attempt to cultivate something within the next two days. Just a small project to help me stand out.”

Seeds, huh? Well, if it’s seeds she wants, seeds she shall have.

Impression points, indeed.

What a sweetheart she is.

Aslan felt a surge of curiosity about what Sylvara was about to accomplish.

She was practically handing him a golden opportunity on a silver platter.

With a smoothness that came naturally, he began to heap on the compliments. “If only more students in the Agriculture Department shared your mindset, they wouldn’t be losing credits left and right. It’s their own fault they can’t graduate. And then they have the audacity to blame the professors. Every time I hear that, it drives me up the wall.”

Sylvara, eager to seize the seeds as quickly as possible, nodded enthusiastically. “Exactly! Teachers can only guide you so far. If someone isn’t willing to put in the effort, they’ve got no one to blame but themselves. It’s clear you’re a top student, Aslan. There’s no doubt in my mind you’ll graduate at the top of your class.”

Such sweet little compliments.

It’s hard not to be charmed by her.

Aslan, clearly smitten, offered her special treatment and led her directly to the seed vault. “Choose whatever you like.”

The Fifth Military Academy’s seed vault was a treasure trove, much like those found in other academies, brimming with seeds sourced from every corner of the galaxy. Mutated, non-mutated, rare, and common—they had it all.

Keeping her bargain-bin husband’s situation in mind, Sylvara carefully selected three seeds.

Aslan’s gaze fell upon her choices, and his expression darkened. “Sweetheart, you really have a knack for picking them. Two of those seeds in your hand originated from ancient Earth. We’ve only managed to obtain ten in total. No one has ever succeeded in getting them to sprout. If it weren’t for the temperature control keeping them viable, I would have assumed they were long dead.”

Sylvara flashed him a cheeky grin. “I’m just taking a chance. Don’t get your hopes up too high. I’m off now. If I manage to grow something, I promise to share the love.”

With that, she dashed away before he could utter another word.

Clutching the seeds tightly, Sylvara exited the Agriculture Department, casually swiping three containers on her way out.

As she reached the entrance of the dormitory, she was abruptly confronted by Zephyrion, who stood blocking her path, one hand holding a vibrant green banana and the other clutching a shriveled, dry apple.

He grinned like a mischievous child. “Sylvara! You mentioned you didn’t like apples, so here, have a banana instead!”

He had seemingly appeared out of nowhere, right in her path. Sylvara, still mid-sprint, found herself unable to halt in time, and she collided directly with his chest.
