The Contract Said No Strings Attached (Charlotte) novel Chapter 469

Dylan didn’t say a word. He stood up and walked straight out of the room.

Rebecca froze, unsure of what he was doing. Did she just drive him away with her attitude? In this weather? It was storming outside—definitely not safe to be wandering around.

She hurriedly got out of bed and followed him, anxious to see what he was up to.

To her surprise, Dylan strode right up to the door of the room next door. He didn’t hesitate for a second before raising his impeccably manicured hand and knocking—loudly and firmly.

Rebecca stared in shock. Was he seriously going to interrupt someone at this hour? Bold move.

A moment later, the door swung open.

“Yeah? What do you want?” The man inside was shirtless, clearly unhappy at being disturbed. But when he caught sight of Dylan’s ice-cold expression, his bravado faltered and his voice softened.

Dylan’s face was stone. “You’re being too loud. I can’t sleep.”

His tone was sharp as a blade, his presence almost intimidating, like someone used to being in charge.

The man across the hall shrank back, immediately apologizing. “Got it, man. I’ll keep it down.”

But then, as if unwilling to back down completely, he grumbled, “But seriously, dude, you look like you haven’t gotten any in a while. Just because you’re not getting lucky, doesn’t mean the rest of us can’t have some fun.”

Rebecca couldn’t help herself—she snorted with laughter.

Hearing her, the man glanced past Dylan. When his eyes landed on Rebecca, his face lit up with surprise and appreciation.

“Oh, come on! You’re not alone in there—you’ve got a girl with you, and a gorgeous one at that! What, you storm over here in the middle of the night to knock on my door because you can’t perform?”

“You want to die?” Dylan’s words were flat and dangerous.

But before Dylan could do anything, the guy slammed his door shut.

Dylan’s fist hit the door with a loud thud. Coward.

He turned around—only to find Rebecca watching, her lips twitching with barely-suppressed amusement.
