When Garcia saw the two of them return to the office together, her jealousy flared, her eyes tinged with red.

She had always craved Dylan’s attention and approval. Every time she saw Rebecca with him, that fire of envy burned hotter.

As soon as Dylan stepped into his office, Garcia intercepted Rebecca in the hallway.

Now that she knew Rebecca’s true identity, Garcia kept the secret to herself. She had no intention of letting the whole company discover that Raina was, in fact, Mrs. Austin—the CEO’s wife.

“Raina, where did you and the boss disappear to these past two days? What happened?” Garcia demanded.

Rebecca arched an eyebrow. “Garcia, we’re equals here. You’re not my boss, so I don’t see why I owe you a rundown of my schedule with him.”

Garcia clenched her teeth, letting out a huff. “So what if the boss took you on a business trip? He just values your work, that’s all. But he’ll never like you. For your information, I’m the one who’s going to have his child.”

Rebecca had no idea what had gotten into Garcia today—why she was suddenly acting so unhinged.

Unfazed, Rebecca just replied with a cool, “Got it. I’ve got work to do—goodbye.”

With that, she walked off, leaving Garcia rooted to the spot, as if she’d just punched a pillow instead of a person.
