The Contract Said No Strings Attached (Charlotte) novel Chapter 527

After he said it, Jonas felt the temperature around him drop a few degrees and shivered.

Thomas, however, couldn’t help but laugh.

Jonas knew Dylan would never agree to adopt him; he was already prepared for the worst.

Little did he know, Dylan was just thinking.

After a moment, Dylan said, “Fine. Go home and spend some time with the old man. Take a day off.”

Jonas’s eyes lit up, thinking Dylan had a sudden bout of kindness.

But in the next second, Dylan added, “I’ll handle the handover tomorrow, and then the company is all yours.”

Jonas felt his world collapse all over again, his mood plummeting from the heavens to the abyss.

He wanted to bargain for a few more days off, but meeting Dylan’s cold gaze, he relented. “Fine, fine, I’ll manage it myself.”

After a while, Jonas recovered slightly from the gloom of having to take over the company. Realizing someone was missing, he turned and asked, “By the way, where’s Fitch?”

Thomas raised an eyebrow and replied, “He went to Africa to develop the mining business.”

Jonas’s gloomy mood instantly lifted.

“Hahaha, now that’s great news! Fantastic! No one will be competing with me for the girl!”

“Hehehe, I’m going to use these two days off to go find her.”

A delighted grin spread across Jonas’s face.

Just then, Dylan suddenly spoke up. “Don’t you dare!”

Jonas frowned. “Why not?”

Dylan said coldly, “Unless you want to end up like Fitch and spend a few months training in Africa.”

With that, Dylan stood up and left.

Jonas stared at Dylan’s tall, imposing back, his heart filled with indignation. A whole lot of indignation.

He felt Dylan was being completely unreasonable. Why should he stop him from pursuing his own happiness?

As soon as Dylan was gone, Jonas fumed, “What’s with Dylan? He’s not even into women, but he won’t let me pursue one either. This is infuriating!”
