Wake Up Leave The Liar novel Chapter 399

Chapter 377.

Later that evening, Ashley, along with the rest of her family, headed to the airport, ready to fly back to Belfort.

They were flying business class.

Sam and Henry were seated on the right side, by the window.

Ashley and Amanda were both in the middle seats on the left side.

With Henry looking after Sam, Ashley went to help Amanda adjust her seat.

As she was chatting with Amanda, Vivian, Mary, and their group walked right towards them.

When the Holdens spotted Ashley and her family, there was no surprise on their faces. Instead, a few smiles broke out. Clearly, they had already known the Jones family was back in Zentopia, and that they’d be on this exact flight back to Belfort.

Catherine looked at Ashley, a provocative smile playing on her lips. She deliberately spoke loud enough for everyone to hear, Grandma, Auntie, you know how some people, when Emily was sick in the hospital, practically lived there, trying to suck up Like they thought if they just latched onto Emily and played nice with Chase, they could somehow keep him from divorcing them.

But no sooner had Emily’s health taken a turn for the better than Chase, without my sister even having to say a word, immediately set up another meeting for ‘certain people’ to finalize the divorce. Before,’certain people’ were really dragging their feet about signing the papers, and I was actually pretty worried. But my sister said she trusted Chase to handle it, and it looks like she was totally right!

The Holdens, of course, knew Catherine’s words were deliberately aimed at Ashley and her family.

Hearing this, Mary smiled, gently patted Catherine s hand, and then shot a mocking look at Amanda and Ashley.

Vivian’s eyes were flat, completely unfazed. It didn’t surprise her one bit that Chase was so eager to divorce Ashley the second he got the chance.

She didn’t even spare the Joneses a glance, gliding past Ashley and the others to take her seat.

Of course, Steve and Amanda knew Catherine’s dig was aimed straight at them too.

Seeing the Holdens trash-talking Ashley like that, Amanda’s already grim expression turned even darker.

Steve, who’d been stowing their luggage, also scowled.

Catherine, deliberately dragging her feet to make sure her words landed, moved so slowly that the people behind her finally got fed up. What’s the gab fest about up front Are we moving or not! someone grumbled.

The Holdens had been riding high lately, totally smug.

Catherine didn’t take kindly to being called out like that. She whipped her head around, ready to fire back, when suddenly, Ashley extended her foot, conveniently hidden by the luggage of the passenger behind them.

Catherine stumbled, pitching forward and crashing into Mary. Both of them went down hard onto the floor.

Vivian, who had just sat down, saw the scene unfold. Her face instantly changed, and she shot up, rushing to help them. Mom, are you okay

Catherine scrambled up, her face a furious mask. She spun to Ashley. You! You did that on purpose!

Ashley stared back, her expression icy. I have no idea what you’re talking about.

You! Catherine was about to retort when the passenger who’d been urging them to move earlier immediately spoke up. You guys were too busy chatting and not watching where you were going! Don’t blame others!

Even though the floor was carpeted, Catherine had hit her mouth on the seat armrest, and her teeth were bleeding.

She was beyond pissed. Just as she was about to open her mouth again, that passenger loudly declared, If you’re not going to fly, then get off the plane! Don’t hold everyone up!

Other passengers were getting impatient too. Seriously!

You… With more and more eyes on her, Catherine was fuming, ready to snap back, but Vivian spoke up, Catherine, sit down.

Catherine was even more pissed, but she didn t dare disobey.

Before she sat, she shot Ashley a venomous glare. You just wait.

Ashley ignored her. After adjusting Amanda’s seat, she settled down herself.
