Chapter 379.
Ashley happened to glance up and caught the disdain and arrogance simmering in Tanya’s eyes.
As soon as their eyes met, Tanya looked away.
Tim curled his lip. She’s seriously brazen.

Seeing the guests eagerly networking with Tanya and Mark, all wanting to collaborate, Ashley tightened her grip on her cup, lowering her gaze as she said quietly, She’s loved, and she has people who give her all the backing she needs. It’s totally normal for her to be so cocky.
She paused, then added, The Mond family, they’ve got some really solid talent over there.
Tim knew she’d been planning something against Mond Corp recently. But Ashley was probably worried if he got involved, he’d be on the hook too if anything went sideways, which was why she kept him out of it.
So, when she brought it up herself now, he knew things weren’t going as planned.
He leaned in closer, dropping his voice. Trouble
Yup.
She’d hacked into Mond Corp a few times, and she could definitely feel that their system defenses were way more advanced than before.
And even though she’d been super stealthy about it, the tech guys Chase had brought in at Mond Corp almost tracked her down.
Clearly, Chase was helping the Monds guard against her.
Chase was loaded. He had deep pockets and connections everywhere. He could basically funnel endless resources, manpower, whatever, into Mond Corp.
So, whether it was hacking or any other tactic to take down Mond Corp, none of that would even make a dent.
The reason no one in the Sterling Family could rein him in was because Chase owned countless companies. Word on the street was, financial experts had crunched the numbers years back and found his personal fortune was even greater than Sterling Corp’s entire worth.
Speed might be doing well, but when it came to his and Ashley’s personal wealth, they were nowhere near Chase’s level.
So, propping up a company like Mond Corp, or even acquiring one like Speed, was basically pocket change for him.
The thought made Tim grit his teeth.
He was also worried Ashley would do something reckless, so he couldn’t help but warn her, Don’t rush it. There’ll always be another chance.
I know.
Ashley and Tim didn’t want to linger.
After spending over half an hour at the banquet, they got ready to leave.
As soon as they got downstairs from the hotel and were walking towards the parking lot, they saw Chase, Tanya, and Mark standing not too far away.
Chase hadn’t even shown up at the party tonight.
It was obvious, without even thinking, that Chase had come specifically to pick up Tanya.
Just then, Chase, Mark, and Tanya also spotted Ashley and Tim.
Tanya’s expression was neutral, but Mark frowned when he saw Ashley.
Chase, on the other hand, gave them a slight nod, but Tim and Ashley acted like they didn’t see him, both looking away at the same time,
Their car wasn’t far from Chase’s.
