Chapter 386.
Just then, Tim asked again, “How are you feeling now? Anywhere uncomfortable? If you’re not feeling well, the morning meeting…”
I’m fine.”
It was only when Ashley spoke that she realized she wasn’t wearing yesterday’s clothes, but her own pajamas.
Plus, she felt totally clean and fresh, so she must have showered.
She just wondered if Chase had asked hotel staff to help her, or…
It wasn’t a big deal, and she couldn’t exactly ask Tim, so after a quick chat, she hung up with him.
Seeing the time, Ashley didn’t waste any more thought on last night.
She quickly got ready, did her makeup, grabbed her bag, and headed out.
The moment she stepped out of her room, she ran right into Chase and Tanya.
Ashley paused.
Chase and Tanya stopped too when they saw her.
Tanya’s eyes went cold as soon as she spotted Ashley.
“Ashley.”
Just then, Tim came out, looking pissed.
Seeing Tanya and Chase, he gritted his teeth and marched straight over to them.
Ashley looked away.
Chase greeted Tim.”Mr. Reed.”
Tim had no idea when Tanya got to Jorvik.
Seeing her with Chase, then hearing Chase greet him, he completely ignored Chase and said directly to Ashley,”Ashley, let’s go.”
Ashley:”Okay.”
She headed for the elevator first.
Gabriel also happened to be leaving at that moment.
Seeing Chase, Tanya, Ashley, and Tim all waiting for the elevator at the same time, he paused too.
However, Ashley and Tim were standing by an elevator on the other side, a good distance from Chase and Tanya.
Anyone who didn’t know better would think they were strangers.
Gabriel didn’t linger on Chase and Tanya; he walked straight to Ashley and Tim, joining them in the same elevator.
Downstairs, Ashley and the other Eternal engineers gathered by the hotel entrance. That’s when a woman, dressed super fancy and stylish, standing on the other side, glanced at them a couple of times. When she saw Chase and Tanya coming over, she smiled and waved, Tanya, over here!*
Chase and Tanya walked towards her.
Just then, the car picking up Ashley and Tim arrived. Ashley and Tim didn’t even spare Chase and Tanya another glance; they hopped in and left.
During the meeting, Chase was there. Tanya, however, didn’t come along.
Tim couldn’t help but scoff, “Well, that’s a rare sight.”
He’d honestly thought Tanya would’ve tagged along.
Ashley didn’t comment.
The morning’s work went pretty smoothly. Barring any unexpected hitches, they’d just need one more afternoon of hustle, and they’d be back in Belfort
by tonight.
